Elisa Contemporary Art presents Becoming, the first New York City solo exhibit of Connecticut Figurative artist, Daryl Zang. The exhibit will be held in the public art space at Saint Peter's Church in New York 619 Lexington Avenue (at 54th Street). The exhibit will open on August 27th and run through October 10th. An artist reception will take place on Thursday, September 12 from 6-8pm.

Carner and Gregor have announced the winners of the BARELY LEGAL SHOWTUNE EXTRAVAGANZA V casting contest. Eight winners were selected from over 100 submissions received from college students around the country. Winners were selected by a four-person judging panel comprised of Casting Directors Michael Cassara and Jason Najjoum, Concert Director Marlo Hunter, and Concert Producer Alina Gutierrez. Carner and Gregor were not involved in the judging process. After four sold-out editions, Carner & Gregor's BARELY LEGAL SHOWTUNE EXTRAVAGANZA is back for its fifth year. The concert will take place Monday, August 5th at (le) Poisson Rouge. Showtime is 8PM. Doors open at 7PM.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, earlier this year, Aaron Sorkin withdrew as librettist of the upcoming Broadway production Houdini, starring Hugh Jackman. Now in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, he revealed that he's deveoping another musical for Broadway. When jokingly asked if he'd ever write dance sequences into his television scripts, Sorkin resopnded: ' Well, I'm going to be doing a Broadway musical, and there will be plenty of extended dance sequences.'
