Arizona Theatre Company's (ATC) powerhouse season continues with one of the most celebrated works in American literature, John Steinbeck's OF MICE AND MEN, the emotional and stirring account of migrant workers George and Lennie who dream of settling down on a farm where the land stretches forever and the soft rabbits need tending, March 5-26 at the Temple of Music and Art, 333 S. Scott Ave. I.

Syracuse University's Department of Drama tackles the volatile combination of adolescence and anxiety in Simon Stephens' 2009 play Punk Rock. Directed by Robert Moss, this production from one of Britain's most celebrated contemporary playwrights runs at the Storch Theatre tonight, February 19, through February 28, 2016 in the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex. Opening night performance is Saturday, February 20 at 8 p.m.

The Old Globe's world premiere of Anna Ziegler's THE LAST MATCH, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch (who directed Bethany at the Globe in 2014), opens tonight, February 18, 2016.

The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of HEAD OF PASSES, written by Tarell Alvin McCraney and directed by Tina Landau. Part of Oskar Eustis' 10th anniversary season, HEAD OF PASSES begins previews on Tuesday, March 15 in the Newman Theater and runs through Sunday, April 17, with an official press opening on Monday, March 28.

Tim Bond-noted director and educator and current Producing Artistic Director at Syracuse Stage and the Syracuse University Department of Drama-has been hired as a full professor at the University of Washington School of Drama. An alumnus of the School of Drama MFA Directing program, Mr. Bond will teach in both the undergraduate curriculum and the MFA directing and acting programs.

Todd Logan's highly acclaimed and emotionally poignant stage play Botanic Garden will be performed at the Ware Center on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. The play, starring real-life married partners Carmen Roman as Kate and James Leaming as her deceased husband Jake, offers a funny and refreshingly unsentimental look at love and loss, questioning our collective belief that "moving on" is the best medicine. Roman and Leaming are acclaimed actors both on-stage and on-camera, appearing in shows such as "Law and Order" and "Prison Break." The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

Syracuse Stage begins 2016 with an irreverent comedy Stupid F***ing Bird, a contemporary mash-up of Anton Chekhov's modern classic The Seagull. Written by Aaron Posner and directed by Howard Shalwitz, the play comes to Syracuse Stage from the Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington, D.C. where it won two Helen Hayes Awards and performed to sold out houses.
