3LD Art & Technology Center Presents World Premiere of THE ONLY TRIBE Starting 11/28

3LD Art & Technology Center presents the World Premiere of THE ONLY TRIBE beginning previews November 28. Conceived by Roland Gebhardt, this unique theatrical experience animates 80 geometric masks by Gebhart with choreography by Peter Kyle, video design by Reid Farrington, and music by Stephen Barber. Opening night is slated for December 3.

NY Workshop Of 'SEANCE ON A WET AFTERNOON' 11/21

New Yorkers will get an early listen of the first opera by Stephen Schwartz, Seance on a Wet Afternoon when American Opera Projects hosts a New York workshop on November 21 & 22. Opera Santa Barbara will present the world premiere in 2009.

Jeremy Schonfeld At Boston Univ. For 'BU ON BROADWAY' 12/11

Acclaimed New York based singer/songwriter Jeremy Schonfeld will take the stage at Boston University's GSU Conference Auditorium on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 8:00pm in collaboration with Boston University's premiere musical theatre group, BU on Broadway. With music from 37 Notebooks, Drift, and other upcoming projects, the solo piano concert features special guest Amy Spanger. The concert will also feature students from BU On Broadway who auditioned for the concert via YouTube, who will collaborate with Schonfeld and Spanger to perform material in the end-of-the-semester concert.

FEZ: QUEEN OF CITIES to Receive World Premiere at UCLA's Royce Hall

Kamal Oudrhiri, President of the Moroccan American Cultural Center of Los Angeles (MACCLA), has announced that MACCLA, with the endorsement of the United Nations (UN) in Geneva and United National Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, in association with Gustav E. von Grunebaum Center for Near Eastern Studies (CNES) at UCLA and The Association For 1200 Years of the Foundation of the City of Fez will present a free event, the World Premiere of an original live music and dance spectacular, "FEZ: Queen of Cities," at UCLA's Royce Hall, 325 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90024, on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.

Broadway In South Africa: The Concert is a star-studded evening that will feature world-premiere songs created by award-winning Broadway composers, including Grammy Award winner Henry Krieger, performed by Broadway stars such as Eden Espinosa and Billy Porter. This benefit concert will raise money for the January 2009 South African initiative of a new, not-for-profit organization called Broadway In South Africa (BSA), and will take place on Monday, October 6, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Peter Norton Symphony Space, located at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street.
