Tony Winner Bill Irwin To Emcee 'On Tap' At Joe's Pub 1/6
On Tuesday, January 6 at 7pm, the women of tap join for one extraordinary night of tap at Joe's Pub with Tony-Award winner Bill Irwin (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf) as emcee. The women of tap include tap legends as well as the new generation of tap artists and ensembles breaking ground in tap and presenting classic tap repertory.
Collectively they have performed on Broadway (Bring In ‘Da Noise, Bring In ‘Da Funk, Black and Blue), in film and television ("Idlewild", "Bojangles", "The Gregory Hines Show", "The Jamie Foxx Show", "Bamboozled", "Tap"), in music videos (for Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez), on stages across the country (The White House, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Avery Fisher Hall, Symphony Space, Joyce Theater, Radio City Music Hall)and in numerous countries around the globe.
