It's been two years in the making and won't be released until February, but NYC area families will have a sneak preview before Thanksgiving, when the multimedia Gustafer Yellowgold's Show returns home to the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th St., NYC, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, on Gustafer's "Top of the Sock Tour."
Choreographer Larry Keigwin and KEIGWIN + COMPANY will be performing on October 6 and 7 at New York City Center's Fall for Dance Festival as part of a 2010-11 season filled with premieres, commissions and special events. The season began in August, when Keigwin was named the first artist in residence of the Vail International Dance Festival and will continue through March with the world premiere of the new evening-length work Dark Habits, during the company's week-long engagement at The Joyce Theatre in March.

Produced by Murphy Cross, Paul Kreppel and Bonnie Kole, the starry evening will benefit The Actors Fund and honored longtime Broadway Musical Director and keyboardist Fran Liebergall who is living with MS. Guests who appeared with Mr. Hamlisch included Lucie Arnaz, Kelly Bishop, Liz Callaway, Victor Garber, Lesley Gore, Robert Klein, Priscilla Lopez, Robert LuPone, Donna McKechnie, Donna Murphy, Jack Noseworthy, Donald Pippin, Billy Stritch, Sammy Williams and more. Two Brooklyn opera companies, American Opera Projects (AOP) and Opera On Tap (OOT), will present the sixth installment of their 'Opera Grows in Brooklyn' series, a 90-minute evening of opera scenes and songs. The evening will feature OPERA ELVIS: A LAMENT FOR THE KING a classical take on the works of Elvis Presley; scenes from HENRY'S WIFE by composer Randall Eng and ROSENKRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD, based on the play by Tom Stoppard and adapted as an opera by composer/librettist Herschel Garfein; and 'A Poem Written For the Concrete Beneath the Bridge' by Caleb Burhans. The show will be held on Monday, October 18 at 8pm at Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood. Tickets are $20 ($15 for students/seniors) in advance at www.galapagosartspace.com and $25 at the door.
