John King's KOSMOS to Play Brooklyn's Roulette, 12/7

Featuring a concert version of King's Bessie-nominated piece Astral Epitaphs that was commissioned by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company for its final shows at the Park Avenue Armory in Dec. 2011, the music of New York composer John King (www.johnkingmusic.com) will be presented at Brooklyn's Roulette on Friday, December 7 at 8pm.

Leandra Ramm Makes Lifetime TV Premiere in MY LIFE IS A LIFETIME MOVIE Tonight; Hosts Viewing Party at Gizzi's

Actress Leandra Ramm's life story will be featured in Lifetime's 'My Life is a Lifetime Movie,' an original hybrid unscripted series focusing on people who could have been the subject of one of its trademark telefilms. The series will feature re-creations and interviews with women who recount their experiences that are said to be so unbelievable that they must be true. Leandra's story will be aired tonight, November 28, at 10pm EST.

The Joffrey Academy of Dance Announces Third Annual Choreographers of Color Award Recipients

The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, has announced the winners of the Third Annual Choreographers of Color Award: Ma Cong, William McClellan and Jeremy McQueen. This announcement follows a national call for artists to submit applications, which began in August. Rounding out the artistic talent on this year's program is fashion designer LaQuan Smith who will conceptualize and design the costumes for McQueen's piece. The Choreographers of Color Award was created to recognize promising young minority choreographers whose diverse perspective will ignite creativity in the field of dance. Each of the three selected choreographers will be given a minimum of 30 rehearsal hours to set a new work on the Joffrey Academy Trainees. Each winning choreographer will also receive a $2,500 stipend and an opportunity to work directly with Joffrey Academy Artistic Directors, Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik. The three World Premieres will be presented in Choreographers of Color Award 2013: Winning Works at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 205 E. Randolph Drive, in one performance only, Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 4 pm.

Mo Rocca joins Chelsea Symphony for Annual Holiday Concert, 12/7

The Chelsea Symphony announces the third concert series of the orchestra's seventh season with a performance on Friday, December 7 at 8 PM at St. Paul's Church, 315 West 22nd Street, in New York. The program will showcase a world premiere by Chelsea Symphony composer Seth Bedford entitled In a Snowy Day: Poem for Orchestra, as well as Chelsea Symphony resident composer Aaron Dai's The Night Before Christmas, narrated by special guest Mo Rocca.

United Solo Theatre Festival presents One Night With You, performed by Leandra Ramm. Starring in a new Lifetime series 'My Life is a Lifetime Movie' and with her new book 'Stalking a Diva' due out this fall, Leandra Ramm tells her amazing life story in an unforgettable one night engagement. The show focuses on the chilling cyber stalking experience that left her feeling imprisoned and helpless without protection from the U.S. legal system. Despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Leandra's perserverance and determination led her to eventually win her legal case. Begining with her unique origins from ' The Genius Sperm Bank', followed by her world traveling adventures, Leandra's life has been nothing short of exciting. One Night With You was written by Dagmar Spain and will be directed by Andrew Lonsdale.
