East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theatre of color in the country and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, re-opens the critically-acclaimed and tremendously popular production "Chinglish" by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang and directed by Jeff Liu, for a limited run the first two weeks of December, starting Thursday, December 3 through Sunday December 13.
The Old Globe's GLOBE FOR ALL returns to bring free professional Shakespeare directly to diverse, multigenerational audiences in underserved communities around San Diego County. This second year of GLOBE FOR ALL follows a highly successful inaugural production in 2014. One of the Bard's most charming comedies, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, will be directed by renowned Shakespearean Rob Melrose, Artistic Director of San Francisco's Cutting Ball Theater, who makes his Globe debut. He directs a cast of local professional actors, including recent graduates of the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program.

Yet he fails to recall that his daughter has skills of her own that enable her to manage almost any situation in which she finds herself.
Maddoc takes readers on a roller coaster ride of suspense and thrills, and Sylvia and those she enlists to her plan fight unimaginable horrors and take a wild chance as Maddoc and his friends set out to find her. The Mafia, black-market babies, greedy corporations and scheming foundations, an old enemy, a hellish assembly of mountain people, a monsignor returned from Rome to have his say and an unexpected miracle all play a role in this riveting story of recent events and justice.
Author Bertil C. Nelson taught at the high school, college and graduate school levels. He left public education to join KPMG as the national director of Education and Training. Nelson has worked in human resources and health care, and currently provides editing, writing and advisory services as a founder and principal with Canner Street Consulting in Lovettsville, Va.
The author states, 'I built the story over 11 weeks writing 10 to 12 hours a day and spent five years reducing its 207,000 plus words to approximately 93,000. For me the story was an emotional roller coaster. I hope the readers feel the same.'
