Based on the book by Herman Melville, Moby Dick is a co-production with the Alliance Theatre and South Coast Repertory and runs now through December 24, 2016 in the Kreeger Theater. A new play by Lauren Gunderson, Silent Sky will run January 20-February 12, 2017, in the Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. The New York premiere of THE PORTAL began an Off-Broadway open-ended run on October 27, 2016 at the Minetta Lane Theatre. THE PORTAL is a rock odyssey conceived and directed by Luke Comer, with original music composed by Tierro Lee and Luke Comer, starring Billy Lewis Jr. (Mason McCarthy on the Fox series "Glee"), and choreographed by Jessica Chen. Writers in Performance is a 12-week writing and performance workshop hosted by BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, culminating in two public presentations. Throughout the course of the workshop, talented actors, playwrights, poets and storytellers have explored writing exercises, theater games, improvisation, movement techniques, and ensemble work in a safe, creative environment. This season, the theme and title of the Writers in Performance show is 'Home.' Writers in Performance participants are diverse by design; not only in ethnicity, but by age, and experience as well, mixing professionals with students. On Friday, December 2 & Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 7:30PM, the troupe will showcase the monologues and short scenes they have been crafting.
