Randy Noojin Returns To North Coast Rep For Solo Show SEEGER

North Coast Repertory Theatre is proud to welcome back Randy Noojin, as he takes the stage as America's beloved folksinger/activist, Pete Seeger, January 29, 2018. SEEGER is a multimedia, solo show that uses Seeger's signature songs including: If I Had a Hammer, Turn, Turn, Turn, Where Have All the Flowers Gone, Bring 'Em Home, We Shall Overcome, and Guantanamera, to tell the story of his personal struggles for free speech in America.

The next show is Playhouse on Park's Mainstage Series is Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias, running from January 10-28. Opening night is Friday, January 12 with a complimentary wine and cheese reception at 7pm, followed by the show at 8pm.

NIGHT AND DAY Extended at Florida Rep

Florida Repertory Theatre extends the world premiere of Night and Day: Love Lost and Found through the Eyes of Cole Porter through March 11, 2018, in the ArtStage Studio Theatre.

PWC Renew Their Support Of The Old Vic

Today The Old Vic and PwC announce the renewal of PwC's support of the 200-year-old theatre and the PwC 10 Previews scheme until the end of Season 4 in August 2019. The Old Vic is London's independent not-for-profit theatre which, despite receiving no regular public subsidy, strives to make the work on stage accessible to all. PwC 10 Previews are integral to this and through this uniquely open-access scheme, a new generation of theatre-goers continue to be inspired.

Spectacle Meets Sleight of Hand in THE MAGIC PLAY at Actors Theatre

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Kevin E. Moore announce the cast and creative team for The Magic Play. Featuring magic created by Brett Schneider, The Magic Play by Andrew Hinderaker will be directed by Halena Kays. Performances begin January 23 and run through February 11 in the Pamela Brown Auditorium, as part of the Brown-Forman Series. Cast and Creative Team Announced for The Old Globe's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

The Old Globe's 2017 2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team of a top-notch revival of Oscar Wilde's endlessly entertaining comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. Maria Aitken will direct the Globe's handsome production of this timeless world classic an unmissable opportunity to see what the London Telegraph calls the most perfect comedy in the English language. The Importance of Being Earnest will run January 27 March 4, 2018 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $30.00 and are on sale now to the general public. Previews run January 27 31. Opening night is Thursday, February 1 at 8:00 p.m.

Photo Flash: In Rehearsal with WATER BY THE SPOONFUL

Rehearsals have begun for Center Theatre Group's production of Water by the Spoonful by Quiara Alegr a Hudes. The 2012 Pulitzer Prize-winning play will be produced at the Mark Taper Forum January 31 through March 11, 2018. Directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, the opening of Water by the Spoonful is set for February 11.

Full Casting Announced For The World Premiere Of Howard Brenton's THE SHADOW FACTORY

Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Samuel Hodges, today announces the full cast for the company's inaugural production at NST City the world premi re of Howard Brenton's The Shadow Factory, which Hodges directs. Veteran of stage and screen Anita Dobson joins the cast as Lady Cooper/Ma (Wicked, Apollo Victoria Theatre; The Merry Wives of Windsor, RSC; Frozen, National Theatre) along with Shala Nyx who plays Polly. Dobson, known for playing the iconic role of Angie Watts in EastEnders, and Nyx join David Birrell (Fred/Hugh), Catherine Cusack (Lil/Sylvia), Lorna Fitzgerald (Jackie Dimmock), Hilton McRae (Lord Beaverbrook) and Daniel York (Len Gooch) to complete the company. The Shadow Factory opens on 15 February, with previews from 7 February, and runs until 3 March.

PACIFIC STANDARD TIME FESTIVAL Festival Launches Next Week, 1/11 21

The Pacific Standard Time Festival: Live Art LA/LA is a celebration of art and performance presented as part of the Getty-led initiative Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA. Organized by REDCAT, CalArts' Downtown Center for Contemporary Arts, in collaboration with partner organizations throughout greater Los Angeles, the 11-day festival will feature more than 75 works by Latin American and Latino artists, performed at more than 25 indoor and outdoor spaces. Jody Briskey Stars As Judy Garland In GARLAND IN WORD AND SONG at The Willow Theatre

When Judy Garland stepped out onto the stage at Carnegie Hall on April 23, 1961, the raucous standing ovation that greeted her was just the start of what has been called the greatest night in showbusiness history. Award-winning actress/singer Jody Briskey will channel Garland and recreate that night's iconic performance in Garland in Word and Song at the Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park. The production, produced by Black Box Booking (The Jazz Singer, Danny Kaye & Sylvia), will run from January 26th through February 11th.

Porchlight's New Faces Series Returns to the Skokie Theatre

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the second production in its 2017 2018 season of Chicago's hit musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway 1959, hosted by Gene Weygandt, directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo with music direction by David Fiorello, Monday, Feb. 26 at Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Ave in Skokie at 7:30 p.m. In tribute to the original New Faces series that ran on Broadway and on film from 1934 1968, Porchlight Music Theatre created the Chicago musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway as a showcase for the best emerging music talent now performing on Chicago stages.
