Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) has announced its 2014/15 season: George Orwell's Animal Farm, adapted for the stage by Althos Low, directed by SYA Artistic and Educational Director Hallie Gordon; and the world premiere of This Is Modern Art by Kevin Coval and Idris Goodwin, directed by Lisa Portes.

New Dramatists,Tony® Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, announces that Emily Morse will assume the position of Artistic Director beginning in July. Morse, on staff at New Dramatists since 2001 and currently serving as Director of Artistic Development, assumes the position from Todd London who leaves New Dramatists after eighteen years to become the Executive Director/Professor of Drama at the University of Washington where he'll oversee undergraduate, MFA and PhD programs, training and productions. London's appointment is awaiting final approval by the university Board of Regent's.

This production, which shares the name of the exceptionally powerful 1964 volume by James Baldwin and renowned photographer Richard Avedon, brings the collaboration to life in a wrenchingly original stage adaptation.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Managing Director William Russo, has announced the remaining production planned for its 2014/15 Season: Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3), written by Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Jo Bonney, in a co-production with The Public Theater in New York. Performances will begin January 2015 at the Loeb Drama Center.

Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, announced today the final additions to the lineup for Pulitzer Fest, a festival of play readings celebrating Pulitzer Prize-winning plays, featuring Labyrinth Theater Company Members and Guest Artists. Five plays will be presented over the course of one week, followed by additional free play readings on the weekend, including Harvey, How I Learned to Drive, They Knew What They Wanted, and more. Casting for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's 2014 production of All My Sons was announced today, with further casting confirmed for Hobson's Choice and the Gershwins' Porgy and Bess. The season opens on 15 May.

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts announced today that The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, will perform today, March 25-30, 2014 at the Ordway.

Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, announced today the initial lineup for Pulitzer Fest, a festival of play readings celebrating Pulitzer Prize-winning plays, featuring Labyrinth Theater Company Members and Guest Artists. Five plays will be presented over the course of one week, followed by additional free play readings on the weekend. The weekend schedule will be announced later this month. A post-show discussion with the playwright and a guest moderator will follow select readings for weekday performances. The plays will be presented at Labyrinth's home in New York City's West Village, the Bank Street Theater (155 Bank Street).
