Broadway veteran Cara Kjellman (Billy Elliot, 42nd Street) spent Saturday, December 12 mentoring the young talent of Broadway's future as she led the morning portion of a Billy Elliot master class with Broadway Artists Alliance. Kjellman was joined by fellow cast members Ruby Rakos, Chelsea Galembo, and Danika Yarosh to answer questions and speak about their experiences with Billy Elliot as well as other stage credits to a group of eager and talented young performers ages 10 to 21.
The original cast recording of 'Vanities: A New Musical' will be released on December 15. The recording is produced by Joel Moss, and will feature Lauren Kennedy, Sarah Stiles, and Anneliese van der Pol. 'Vanities: A New Musical' is based on the original play 'Vanities' by Jack Heifner. Broadway star Georgia Engel, last seen in the production of The Drowsy Chaperone as Mrs. Tottendale, will star in the Theatre Zone's production of HIGH SPIRITS in Naples, Florida. The production is a limited engagement, playing January 7th through 17th. High Spirits is a musical adaptation of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit.
