The Clive Barnes Foundation recently announced the nominees for the seventh annual Clive Barnes Awards. This year's nominees continue to shine in their respective fields.

Manhattan Concert Productions has just announced lead casting for their 25th anniversary concert version of Gershwin's musical comedy Crazy for You. Tony award nominees Tony Yazbeck and Laura Osnes, will co-star as Bobby Child and Polly Baker for this one night only event at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center on February 19, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. Five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman will direct the Tony Award-winning Crazy for You 25 years to the day from its opening night on Broadway. The performance features Stroman's choreography from the original production, a chorus of 240 singers from across the United States, a professional cast and creative team, and the enlarged forces of the New York City Chamber Orchestra. Following the success of The Secret Garden earlier this year, Crazy for You marks the fifth installment of Manhattan Concert Productions' critically acclaimed Broadway Series that has also included Parade, Titanic, and Ragtime.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have just announced that Manhattan Theatre Club, by special arrangement with Gorgeous Entertainment, will produce the Broadway premiere of Prince of Broadway, a musical celebration that highlights the extraordinary six-decade career of director and producer Harold Prince. Prince of Broadway will start previews Thursday, August 3, 2017 for a Thursday, August 24, 2017 opening night at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

A BRONX TALE opens on Broadway tonight, December 1, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). The new musical, featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, co-directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo, began performances on Thursday, November 3 and features a cast of 30 including Tony-nominee, Nick Cordero and 'Hamilton' alumn, Ariana DeBose.

Richard Move/MoveOpolis! returns to New York Live Arts as the opening performance of Live Ideas 2017 with the world premiere of XXYY, a multilayered work conceived and directed by Move, with costumes by acclaimed theater artist Alba Clemente and an original score by Italian electronic music pioneer Martux_m. Carnegie Hall today announced an exciting new guest artist line-up for its spring performances with The New York Pops and Music DirectorSteven Reineke. On Friday, March 10 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, the orchestra and Maestro Reineke continue their Carnegie Hall season with Life is a Cabaret: The Songs of Kander and Ebb, a celebration of composer John Kander's 90th birthday and five-decade partnership with lyricist Fred Ebb. Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck joins previously announced Caissie Levy performing songs from the duo's biggest Broadway sensations including Cabaret, Kiss of the Spiderwoman,The Scottsboro Boys, and Chicago. Previously announced guest artist Joshua Henry is unable to appear in this concert due to a scheduling conflict.

The Public Theater presents the New York Premiere of PARTY PEOPLE by UNIVERSES (Steven Sapp, Mildred Ruiz-Sapp, and William Ruiz a.k.a Ninja). Developed and directed by Liesl Tommy with choreography by Millicent Johnnie, PARTY PEOPLE began performances on November 1 and runs through Sunday, December 4, with an official press opening tonight, November 15.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theater Festival, will honor Tony and Grammy Award winning composer and lyricist Duncan Sheik, Casting Director Tara Rubin, and former NYMF Board Member and Treasurer Frank Troutman at its 2016 Gala hosted by Mo Rocca on Sunday, November 13 at the Edison Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan (240 W 47th St, New York, NY 10036).

The complete cast is set for the upcoming Vermont Premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY, a gospel-infused play that will run at Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, VT. The show, directed by Jarvis Antonio Green, begins previews on November 3 and opens on November 5.
