Additional performances for the 63rd Annual Tony Awards® Telecast were announced today. Dolly Parton along with the cast of 9 to 5: The Musical; Elton John with the cast of Billy Elliot, The Musical; Liza Minnelli; Stockard Channing; and the band Poison along with the cast of Rock of Ages, will be taking the stage, joining previously announced performances by this year's Tony-nominated Best Musicals and Best Musical Revivals, including: Billy Elliot, The Musical; Guys and Dolls; HAIR; Next to Normal; Pal Joey; Rock of Ages; Shrek the Musical; and West Side Story.

Vincent Rivers, presented by Theatre Britain in cooperation with Uptown Players, is now running through Jun. 21 at the KD Studio Theatre, is a story that has at its core a hate-based crime, the murder of a young British male named Vincent River. Where this story departs from the manner hate crimes are dealt with in the country, usually as news sound bites, Vincent River takes an organic journey into the mindset of the parent(s) and their quest to understand who their homosexual child was.

The Dramatists Guild of America has issued a stern statement regarding the presumed omission of the 'Best Book of a Musical' award from the Tony Award Ceremony this Sunday. The full statement from the D.G.A. President, noted Composer Stephen Schwartz, is as follows:

At 7pm, viewers will be able to login at TonyAwards.com to watch the Creative Arts categories immediately prior to the CBS Broadcast. It is not yet known which awards will fill this segment, however last year's categories included Best Orchestrations and the Design awards.

A Bronx Tale, the funny and touching memoir written by and starring Academy Award-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri, will debut in Minneapolis at Hennepin Theatre Trust's State Theatre June 2-7, 2009.

The critically acclaimed Broadway production of EXIT THE KING will begin the final two weeks of its limited engagement, set to end Sunday, June 14 at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). The production will have played 21 previews and 93 regular performances.

EXIT THE KING's Tony nominated Geoffrey Rush will be a featured guest on 'CBS2 News Sunday' this Sunday, May 17 at approximately 6:50AM. For his portrayal of ?King Berenger,' Rush has been nominated for the Tony, Drama Desk and Drama League Awards and won the Outer Critic Circle and Theatre World Awards.
