Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company will present Richard O'Brien's cult classic musical, The Rocky Horror Show, at the Pittsburgh Playhouse March 27, 2009 through April 11, 2009; a preview performance is open to the public on Thursday, March 26. The production is directed by Scott Wise with musical direction by Camille Rolla and choreography by Jeremy Czarniak.

Reed, editor-in-chief of O, The Oprah Magazine; and Susan Sobbott, President of American Express OPEN, will be declared Women of Achievement by Women's Project, America's oldest and largest stage company dedicated to producing theater created by women, at ceremonies Monday evening, March 2, in the grand ballroom of the Pierre Hotel, 2 East 61st Street at 5th Avenue.

TDF's Accessibility Programs (TAP), which have been instrumental in expanding open captioning on and Off Broadway, and regionally across the United States, announce the schedule of performances which will feature the service on Broadway this spring.Open captioning, which TDF introduced on Broadway in 1997, is more inclusive of all hard-of-hearing audiences than traditional sign language interpretation. Through open captioning, an electronic text display, placed on the side of the stage, shows what the actors are saying or singing and describes sound effects on stage in real time.To date, TAP has organized more than 350 open-captioned performances of more than 250 different Broadway, Off Broadway and regional productions.

EXIT THE KING is a hilarious and poignant comedy about a megalomaniacal ruler, King Berenger (Rush) whose incompetence has left his country in near ruin.
