A host of British stage and screen stars are set for the upcoming wartime film 'The King's Speech,' surrounding George VI's struggles overcoming his stammer. The film is to be directed by Tom Hooper, most recently of the acclaimed The Damned. Shooting began on the film late last week.

Acting Coach Charles Conrad Dies at 84

Charles Conrad, a distinguished acting coach who has trained some of theater and film's most celebrated performers including Susan Sarandon, Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger, Dennis Quaid, Michelle Pfiedder, Diana Ross and Robert Duvall, died from kidney failure on October 29 in Port Townsend, Washington. He was 84.

The reading, abridged by David S. Craig and presented in association with TD Canadian Children's Book Week, is part of the NAC English Theatre's Family 3 series. An exciting event for families, as parents will take pleasure as they watch their children enthralled with Ms. Martin exciting reading as young Jacob is brought to life.
