Last August at the closing of their Annual National Convention, Joe Lanteri, Executive Director of NYCDAF distributed an astounding $2.8 million in scholarships to promising young dancers.

The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre will give two performances, Tuesday, May 10 at 8 P.M. and Wednesday, May 11 at 2 P.M. Students will perform excerpts from Les Sylphides as well as original works by JKO Principal Franco De Vita, Raymond Lukens and former ABT Principal dancer Susan Jaffe. Tickets are priced at $30 for orchestra seats and $25 for balcony seats, with discounted prices for ABT members, senior citizens, and students.

Susan Jaffe, a former Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre, has been named Ballet Mistress with the Company. The appointment, effective October 2010, was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.
