The NYC Dance Alliance Foundation (NYCDAF) will celebrate its first anniversary with a fundraising performance at The Joyce Theate(175 Eighth Avenue at 19th Street) on Monday evening, January 16, 2012 at 7:30 pm.

Destiny Rising, the gala dance performance to benefit NYC Dance Alliance Foundation's College Scholarship Program promises to be an even more dazzling evening with the addition of a number of special guests recently announced by NYCDAF Executive Director Joe Lanteri who will direct the performance on January 16 at The Joyce Theater.

The NYC Dance Alliance Foundation held its 1st Annual Bright Lights, Shining Stars Gala at the Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU and clearly delivered on its promise of a star studded evening of music & dance with one show-stopping number after another. Following cocktails hosted by Honorary Co-Chairs Cassandra Seidenfeld Lyster and Robin Cofer, eager guests flooded into the elegant theater for an evening of unforgettable moments.

Bright Lights! Shining Stars!, a gala event to benefit the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation, will honor the legendary Roberta Flack with the NYCDAF's First Ambassador for the Arts Award on August 1, 2011 at the Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU. 566 LaGuardia Place, New York. The star studded evening of song and dance directed by renowned choreographer, dancer and instructor Joe Lanteri will also feature the awarding of $50,000+ in college scholarships to promising young dancers.

ABT II and students of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre will showcase their talents at The Kaye Playhouse with four performances from May 10-12, 2011. The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre will give two performances, Tuesday, May 10 at 8 P.M. and Wednesday, May 11 at 2 P.M. Students will perform excerpts from Les Sylphides as well as original works by JKO Principal Franco De Vita, Raymond Lukens and former ABT Principal dancer Susan Jaffe. Tickets are priced at $30 for orchestra seats and $25 for balcony seats, with discounted prices for ABT members, senior citizens, and students.

Harold Prince will present five-time Tony Award-winner Susan Stroman with an Elan Award at the gala awards ceremony on October 10th
