In honor of its 8th Anniversary on Broadway, the blockbuster musical Wicked will host a month-long roster of activities and promotions throughout the month of October, culminating on 'Wicked Day,' Sunday, October 30, with a special, one-time only 'Ultimate Encore Performance.'

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for each performance of Wicked, which runs October 19 through November 6, at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall. Prior to each performance, those interested should arrive at TPAC two-and-a-half hours before show time to have their names placed in the lottery drawing.The sign up will take place in TPAC's Polk Theater lobby.

After breaking box office records and selling out in record time in 2009, WICKED, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, will return to Austin at Texas Performing Arts Bass Concert Hall, playing January 25-February 12, 2012. Tickets for the return engagement go on sale Saturday, October 22 at 10 a.m.

In a special limited engagement, Signature Theatre presents the world premiere musical A Second Chance, featuring a book, music, and lyrics by Ted Shen. The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere of Richard Nelson's new play SWEET AND SAD on Tuesday, September 6.
