The Hallway Trilogy, by Adam Rapp, will close at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater on Sunday, March 27th.

Daphne Rubin-Vega and Estelle Parsons are set to Join the cast of TROY WOMEN at Red Bull Theatre. Written by by Karen Hartmen and directed by Leigh Silverman, The show is described as 'a brutally compelling portrait of woman during war, in an ecstatic contemporary adaptation.'

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announced today that due to ticket demand, its production of The Hallway Trilogy, by Adam Rapp, will play three (3) additional performances of each part of the trilogy. Previews began Tuesday, February 8th and each part opened in consecutive order on Tuesday, February 22nd, Wednesday, February 23rd, and Thursday, February 24th. Originally scheduled to run through Sunday, March 20th, the shows will now play through Sunday, March 27th.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 16th season with the world premiere of The Hallway Trilogy, three full length plays set fifty years apart (1953, 2003, 2053) by Adam Rapp.

In celebration of its 15th Anniversary season, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will present theaterjam, a one-day festival featuring the work of many of the company's favorite playwrights, actors and directors. The event will take place at the Rattlestick Theatre (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South between West 11th & Perry Streets) on Sunday, March 28th. Doors will open at 3:00pm. There is a $10 admission charge (cash only) for all day entry - and includes one free beer! There will even be a raffle drawing for amazing prizes. Patrons are free to come and go as they please and attend any - or all! - of the festival's many offerings.

A very special evening of culture and history took place on Friday, May 8, 2009 in New York City when three survivors of the 1945 bombings of Hiroshima, Japan during World War II attended the opening performance of Chiori Miyagawa's play 'I Have Been to Hiroshima Mon Amour' at the Ohio Theatre (66 Wooster St.) in Soho.

THE HIROSHIMA PROJECT runs May 8-30 at The Ohio Theater (66 Wooster Street): I HAVE BEEN TO HIROSHIMA MON AMOUR runs Wednesdays through Sundays at 7:30pm, with additional performances Saturday, May 9 at 2:30pm and Saturday, May 30 at 2:30pm. Tickets are $18, students and seniors $15. Admission is free to MONDAY NIGHT READING SERIES: VOICES FROM HIROSHIMA on Mondays, May 11, 18 and 25 at 7:30.
