Margot White and Kevin Cristaldi to Star in A DISH FOR THE GODS at Theatre Row, 9/16-10/5

Rachel Reiner Productions will present the World Premiere of Victor L. Cahn's A Dish For The Gods, directed by Adam Fitzgerald. A Dish for the Gods will begin performances on Saturday September 14, and will open Monday, September 16 and will run through October 5, 2013 at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre (410 West 42 Street).

Kelly Carlin to Bring One-Woman Show to All For One Theater Festival, Begin. 10/11

Kelly Carlin, daughter of comedy legend George Carlin will perform her acclaimed one-woman show, A Carlin Home Companion: Growing up with George, at New York's All For One Theater Festival (AFO) this fall at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) on October 11, 13, 17 and 19. It is directed by Paul Provenza, who also helmed the celebrated documentary, 'The Aristocrats.'

Gary Littman and Matt Lutz Join Cast of AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS Today

Producer Cedric Yau has announced that Gary Littman & Matt Lutz will step into the roles of Passepartout & Detective Fix (respectively) in Around the World in 80 Days, beginning today, September 3rd. They will replace John Gregorio & Stephen Guarino, whose last performance was Sunday, September 1st. Guy Lemonnier heads the cast as the phlegmatic Phileas Fogg, with Shirine Babb & Jimmy Ray Bennett rounding out the ensemble cast. Rachel Klein directs.

MetroStage to Present GEE'S BEND, 9/12-11/3

Gee's Bend by Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder and directed by Thomas W. Jones II, music directed by William Hubbard and William Knowles will be in performance at MetroStage Sept. 12-Nov. 3. Gee's Bend tells the true story of the Pettway family in Gee's Bend, Alabama, as they live through segregation, the Civil Rights Movement and become famous for their iconic quilts. All of this is told with a backdrop of soul-stirring music in the gospel tradition that the Gee's Bend women sang as they quilted.

South Bend Civic Theatre to Stage Anton Chekhov's THE CHERRY ORCHARD, 9/27-10/6

The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, translated by Tom Stoppard, plays in SBCT's Warner Studio Theatre September 27-October 6. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at 3 PM ($18), Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 PM ($15).

Artists Rep to Present MISTAKES WERE MADE, 9/24-10/27

Artists Rep announces Michael Mendelson will step in to play the lead role of Felix Artifex, as Todd Van Voris must leave the production due to a family emergency. Artistic Director Dámaso Rodriguez will now direct Mendelson and guide the show to opening as the production's Associate Director. Originally slated to begin preview performances next Tuesday, September 17, the run dates for Mistakes Were Made will now be pushed back one week. Preview performances will begin September 24 and the play will open on September 28.

NHTP'S DREAMING AGAIN to Tour New Hampshire this Fall

Dreaming Again, originally commissioned by the NH Humanities Council in 2011, will be touring the state of New Hampshire again this fall, in collaboration with Mariposa Museum in Peterborough. Written by Genevieve Aichele, Dreaming Again features the stories of New Hampshire immigrants and refugees over the past 100 years. Music director Agnes Charlesworth has included traditional music from all over the world, played by Peter Motson on keyboard, Cynthia Chatis on flute, and Theo Martey on West African percussion. Actors include NHTP company members CJ Lewis and Heather Glenn Wixson, and guest artists Claire White and Dan Acor.

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre to Open 2013-14 Season with THE DETECTIVE'S WIFE, 9/18-10/13

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) continues its 2013-2014 theatre season with the Milwaukee premiere of THE DETECTIVE'S WIFE by Keith Huff, September 18 - October 13, 2013. In addition to numerous plays, Keith Huff has written for the television series 'House of Cards' and 'Mad Men.' This one-woman show features Milwaukee favorite Mary MacDonald Kerr who was last seen at MCT in THE SWEETEST SWING IN BASEBALL. The show is also a production collaboration with the UW-Milwaukee Theatre Department. UWM professor Jim Tasse will direct and the production team members are UWM faculty and students. THE DETECTIVE'S WIFE performs in the Broadway Theatre Center's Studio Theatre in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.

As she gets rid of the garbage and clutter she also attempts to let go of her past and fears of becoming a crazy cat lady. Cat Lady Without A Cat, is a hilarious and heartfelt story of one woman's journey from a painful divorce to her new life in New York.

NNPN Presents John Biguenet's BROOMSTICK Rolling Premiere in NJ, LA, MT in 2013-14

The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 41st Rolling World Premiere: John Biguenet's Broomstick will receive four productions through the Network's Continued Life of New Plays Fund in the 2013/14 season. Broomstick will begin its Rolling World Premiere at New Jersey Repertory Company (Long Branch, NJ, September 19 - October 13, 2013), followed by performances at Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey (Madison, NJ, January 9-26, 2014), Southern Rep (New Orleans, LA, June, August and October, 2014) and Montana Repertory Theatre (Missoula, MT, September 10-27, 2014).

Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre launches its 26th season with a revival of Sean O'Casey's JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK, directed by Irish Rep Artistic Director Charlotte Moore. Richmond Ballet to Kick Off 30th Season with Studio One, 10/1-6

Richmond Ballet is set to kick off its 30th Anniversary Season with the first installment of this year's Studio Series, Studio One, October 1-6, 2013, at the Richmond Ballet Studio Theatre with a new ballet from Philip Neal, and a popular favorite, Val Caniparoli's Bow Out. After a celebrated, 23-year career at New York City Ballet, Neal returns to Richmond once again to set a new original work, Phoenix Rising. Neal's world premiere will mark the fifth time The School of Richmond Ballet alumnus and Richmond native has set a new work for the Ballet's professional company. Bow Out, an eclectic contemporary piece – choreographed by Caniparoli, who for many years acted as the choreographer-in-residence at San Francisco Ballet – also makes a return to the Ballet's Studio Theatre in the 2013. With slick styling and boundless energy, Bow Out oozes cool and charisma.

Freedom Theatre to Present THE ISLAND, 9/6-7

The Freedom Theatre, an independent cultural center located in the West Bank's Jenin refugee camp, announced through its American support group Friends of the Jenin Freedom Theatre, that it would tour four states in September with its production of Athol Fugard's award-winning play The Island. The play explores the lives of two prisoners who share a cell during South Africa's apartheid regime. Florida Studio Theatre announces that subscriptions are now on sale for the 2013-14 Mainstage Season. While most of the productions are still being considered for the season, the opening of the Mainstage will bring Monty Python's Spamalot to life in the Gompertz Theatre. It will open on November 15, 2014 and run through January 5, 2014.
