Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story, an upcoming new musical based on the life and songs of legendary songwriter Bert Berns. Produced by Merged Work Productions (lead producers) and Jack Thomas (Executive Producer), the show began rehearsals today, and begins previews at The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center tonight, June 25, 2014, with an official opening night set for July 21, 2014.

Magic and mystery come alive in FST's second show of the Summer Sidekicks Series, Clearly Invisible: Magic Up Close with Carl Seiger. Playing in the Court Cabaret July 8 through August 3, Seiger presents a show filled with sleight-of-hand magic, catchy jazz tunes, and heartwarming storytelling.

The Colony Theatre is thrilled to present the first production of its historic 40thAnniversary season, the World Premiere of FAMILY PLANNING by Michelle Kholos Brooks. Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE) Chicago's only Equity theatre devoted to the work of women theatre artists, and Artistic Director Tara Mallen are proud to announce the extension of the Chicago premiere of Courtney Baron's Eat Your Heart Out, directed by Hallie Gordon, through July 12 at Rivendell's performance venue, 5779 N. Austin Shakespeare teen company Young Shakespeare will perform The Tempest at Richard Garriott de Cayeux' replica of an Elizabethan theater, The Curtain Theater, on the shores of Lake Austin, June 19 - 22 (Thurs-Sun at 8 pm) and June 25 - 28 (Wed-Sat at 8 pm).
