Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling President Dixie Carter and TNA Managing Partner Hulk Hogan today announced the series premiere of 'TNA ReACTION,' that will air on Thursday nights beginning August 12 at 11:00 pm (ET/PT) on Spike TV.

TVNZ reports that Cheryl Crow may be at work on a Broadway score for a stage adaptaton of the film, Diner. The songstress recently contributed a strip-tease number to the New York stage show. Revealing few details, Crow remarked: 'A friend of mine has asked me to write the music for the Broadway musical version of the film 'Diner...' There's a scene where these three women do a striptease and I came up with the music for it. It's so good I could strip to it. And I'm 48.'

Most of the productions of Kander and Ebb's CABARET that I've attended in recent years have been rather intimate and cozy affairs, with stagings seeking to replicate the smoky atmosphere of the Kit Kat Klub as closely as possible. And, the latest production by Non-Prophet Theatre Company is one such example, making full use of every square inch of the Kranzberg Arts Center space. The performers are certainly an enthusiastic lot, but there's a decided lack of dramatic focus in this production that removes the sting from its downbeat, but honest finale. Still, there are some memorable moments to be gleaned from this generally engaging presentation.

His scores for A CHORUS LINE, THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG and SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, along with his work on classic films like THE WAY WE WERE and THE STING surely cement his place in the pantheon of great American artists, a legend in his own time. On Monday night he also participated - accompanying Idina Menzel on a song from A CHORUS LINE - in the White House celebration of Broadway also starring Nathan Lane, Idina Menzel, Audra McDonald and the First Family themselves which will be airing on PBS in October. He also hosts the 70s music special THE WAY WE WERE, MUSIC OF THE SEVENTIES airing in August on PBS, as well.

Mexico-born pianist Jorge Federico Osorio joins the Chicago Symphony Orchestra led by Ravinia Music Director James Conlon to perform the complete Beethoven concertos over two days beginning with an 8 p.m. concert on Thursday, July 15, featuring concertos No. 1, 2 and 3. The July 15 concert continues Ravinia's celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mexican Independence, with the festival teaming with its hometown city of Highland Park, which maintains a strong sister cities relationship with Puerto Vallarta. Puerto Vallarta will send a cultural delegation, including its mayor, to the festival for the July 15 concert. Chef Thierry Blouet, owner of the acclaimed Café des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta and Café des Artistes del Mar in Punta Mita, will be a guest chef in Ravinia's Park View restaurant on July 15 and 16.

According to the New York Times, Sting is set to perform at the Metropolitan Opera with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra of London on July 13th and 14th.

Whatsonstage.com is furthing speculation first reported by BroadwayWorld on May 4 that Sting may be bringing an autobiographical musical to Broadway in the near future. It was reported then that the singer/songwriter is collaborating with Next to Normal's Brian Yorkey on the project, which is believed that it is inspired by Sting's memoir, Broken Music. No word on whether or not the score would be original.
