From One Singular Sensation to The Way We Were, composer Marvin Hamlisch left a legacy of hits that have brightened Broadway and the musical catalogue of America forever. And, now, The Philly POPS is proud to present 'Marvin Hamlisch - A Musical Tribute' conducted by Larry Blank, Hamlisch's conductor, and three of his favorite singers ... Donna McKechnie, Jodi Benson and Doug LaBrecque. Taking place on Friday, March 14 (8 p.m.), Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16 (3 p.m.) in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center, Blank and the guest artists will not only present wonderful musical memories with the audience, they'll share personal recollections of Marvin Hamlisch as well.

In her most daring and revealing project to date, five-time Grammy nominee, Tierney Sutton, pays homage to the revered pop singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell in After Blue: The Joni Mitchell Project. Sutton puts her unique stamp on Joni Mitchell tunes going back to "Both Sides Now" and "Big Yellow Taxi" to more recent numbers like "The Dry Cleaner from Des Moines," "Be Cool," and "Don't Go to Strangers." Collaborating with Tierney this evening is Mark Summer on cello and Serge Merlaud on guitar.

The documentary will make its World Television Premiere on Wednesday, March 19, at 8PM ET. This documentary by Ron Chapman profiles Arthur Fogel, a relatively unknown businessman who has revolutionized the global concert touring industry. When it airs on March 19, the documentary will include new material including concert footage and a never-before-seen exclusive interview with recording artist and pop superstar Lady Gaga.

The Cleveland POPS Orchestra with Carl Topilow pays tribute to the musical genius of Marvin Hamlisch in a special concert at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21st in Severance Hall. The concert will feature three of the performers who worked with Hamlisch and knew him well. Broadway legends Donna McKechnie, Jodi Benson, Doug LaBrecque, along with POPS conductor Topilow, will share behind-the-scenes experiences and personal conversations they had with Marvin.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents an evening with 16-time Grammy Award-winner Sting on behalf of his forthcoming musical, The Last Ship, on February 24, 2014 at 7:30pm. For one night only, this benefit event features Sting in conversation with musician, BAFTA nominee and The Last Ship cast member, Jimmy Nail. The pair will also perform songs from the new musical, joined by Emmy Award-nominee Rob Mathes on piano. Funds raised at the event support Steppenwolf's Artistic Development Fund, a special fund created by the theater to provide enhanced resources for large scale productions initiated by our artists and to mount new plays. Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter will make her Los Angeles Philharmonic and Walt Disney Concert Hall debuts on Saturday, February 8, 2014, in a one-night-only performance featuring songs from her first orchestral album, Songs From The Movie, released on January 14, 2014. Joining Carpenter are some of the collaborators from Songs From The Movie, including six-time Grammy-winner Vince Mendoza (Sting, Diana Krall, Chris Botti, Elvis Costello, Bjork, Joni Mitchell), who will be conducting the LA Phil, Peter Erskine (Weather Report, John Abercrombie, Rod Stewart, Michael Buble, Joni Mitchell, Diana Krall) on drums, and Matt Rollings (Keith Urban, Lyle Lovett) on piano.
