Wharton Center is proud to give a glimpse of our upcoming 2014- 2015 season. The entire season will be announced the last week of April, when Wharton Center subscribers will receive the season brochure and order form. Just like years past, subscriber orders are processed according to Wharton's priority system, which is based on years of subscription and/or donation level. The actual seating will begin late May.

Executive Director Jonathan Josephson, Producing Artistic Director Jeff G. Rack and Artistic Director Paul Millet have announced the cast for tonight's April 12th (6pm-12am) fundraiser, A Night at the Mausoleum II. The evening is headlined by a staged reading of Kick the Can, one of legendary TV-writer George Clayton Johnson's episode of The Twilight Zone. Johnson also wrote Nothing in the Dark and A Penny For Your Thoughts for the iconic sci-fi television show.

Stage and screen star Kevin Spacey was just honored by Museum of the Moving Image at its 28th annual Salute last night, April 9, 2014 in New York City. Spacey joins the ranks of past honorees who have received the Museum's Salute, including Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Robert DeNiro, Goldie Hawn, Alec Baldwin, Dustin Hoffman, Hugh Jackman, Steve Martin, Al Pacino, Sidney Poitier, Jimmy Stewart, Julia Roberts, Martin Scorsese, and Steven Spielberg. TNT's hit drama Falling Skies will return to WonderCon for the second time, with Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation), Sarah Carter (Final Destination 2), Seychelle Gabriel (The Last Airbender), Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth) and executive producer/director Greg Beeman (Smallville, Heroes) set to appear.

BBC Two recently announced that it will air three filmed adaptations of Shakespeare's History plays including a new version of Richard III. Today, BBC Two confirmed on its Twitter feed that actor Benedict Cumberbatch will take on the role of the titular king.

According to ComingSoon, Warner Bros. has now put the film 'on the fast track.' There aren't many details available, but it appears that they are still waiting for Spielberg to sign on. The movie will not be remade without him on the team.

Mike Judge ('Office Space,' 'Beavis & Butt-head,' 'King of the Hill') brings his irreverent brand of humor to HBO in the new comedy series SILICON VALLEY. The series features late stage and screen actor Christopher Evan Welch ('The Master', 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona'), who passed away on December 2, 2013 of lung cancer at the age of 48. Five and a half of the eight episodes were filmed before Welch's death and the plot will continue as planned for Season 1.

Cornish College to Honor Tony Kushner and Deborah F. Rutter at 2014 Commencement, 5/10

President Nancy J. Uscher has announced that Cornish College of the Arts will award honorary degrees at this year's commencement to ground-breaking American playwright Tony Kushner and to Deborah F. Rutter, president-elect of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Kushner is the winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Tony and Emmy Awards, and a recipient of the National Medal for Arts. One of the nation's leading arts administrators, Ms. Rutter assumes leadership of the Kennedy Center in September. Most recently she has served as president of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and, prior to that, she was the executive director of the Seattle Symphony.
