American Theatre Wing chair and Tony-winning costume designer William Ivey Long (currently represented on Broadway by IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY and CABARET) recently explained to Page Six his choice of Anna Wintour to spruce up the Tony Awards red carpet this weekend.

This half-hour special airs tonight, May 30 at 7 p.m. and is hosted by WABC-TV's Reporter/Anchor, Michelle Charlesworth and James Monroe Iglehart, the Genie in Disney Aladdin and winner of the Tony last year for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

On TONY Awards Sunday (June 7), CUNY TV will present 8 hours of interviews related to this year's nominated musicals, plays, and individuals - from 12 noon right up till Tony time (8 p.m. on CBS). Included in the mix is the premiere at 7 p.m. of an all-new episode of THEATER TALK, Critics Review the Broadway Season, with Ben Brantley of The New York Times, Peter Marks of The Washington Post, John Simon of the Westchester Guardian, and Terry Teachout of The Wall Street Journal.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held just yesterday in Shubert Alley, hosted by Darren Criss who is currently playing Hedwig in the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a 12-piece live orchestra, including many of this year's 2015 Tony Award - nominated plays and musicals! We are yet another day closer to the biggest night on every theatre-lover's calendar- the 69th Annual Tony Awards, which will be co-hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming on Sunday, June 7 (8PM on CBS). Earlier this month, the 2015 Tony nominees gathered to meet the press and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the big day. A star-studded countdown to the 69th Annual Tony Awards® ceremony begins on CUNY TV with the all-new special, 2015 TONY AWARDS PREVIEW, co-hosted by entertainment reporter Pat Collins and four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein.  Collins and Fierstein team up at Sardi's in Times Square, and introduce segments consisting of clips and interviews in all of the leading categories, including Best Play, Best Musical and Best Revivals.  With exclusive interviews totaling 28 Tony nominees, the special debuts Friday, May 29 (2015) on CUNY TV* at 10am, 3pm and 8:30pm; is repeated Sunday 5/31 at noon and Friday 6/5 at 10am, 3pm and 8:30pm, and returns as part of a multi-show Tony Marathon on Sunday, June 7, leading right up to the Tony Awards telecast.  Beginning May 29, the program also may be viewed anytime on www.cuny.tv. 

Edgar Bronfman Jr. and Liz Smith hosted a Luncheon to honor the Broadway Legend, and star of the 2015 Tony Award Nominated Musical The Visit, Chita Rivera, yesterday. Check out a look back below!

According to Page Six of the New York Post, one guest was so over the moon with Rivera's presence that he jumped into the restaurant's famous decorative pool.
