The show marks Lansberry's directing debut in the Center's Black Box Theater. The Importance of Being Earnest will run January 24 - February 19, 2012. Known for his work on Broadway, Off-Broadway, LA Theater and Television, including the series Too Close for Comfort and The New Hollywood Squares, Jim previously performed the role of Wilbur Turnblad on Broadway. This time Jim takes the Arvada Center stage as the favorite 'Mother of the 50's forced into the 60's', Edna Turnblad. This fully staged regional production of Hairspray closes July 17, 2011.

Yesterday, June 6, English rock musician Billy Idol performed at the Luzhniki Arena in Moscow, Russia. Performing alongside Billy Idol is guitarist Steve Stevens and bassist Phil Feit. The performance kicked off Idol's European tour. Idol played many of his classic hits along with a few new songs including "Kings And Queens Of The Underground", "Love Is Strange" and "Don't Shoot The Messenger'. Idol's European tour currently has 20 scheduled performances.
