The Old Globe will participate in the National Jewish Theater Foundation - Holocaust Theater International Initiative - Remembrance Readings 2017 in Honor of Elie Wiesel.

The Old Globe is proud to participate in the National Jewish Theater Foundation - Holocaust Theater International Initiative - Remembrance Readings 2017 in Honor of Elie Wiesel. The Globe will present a reading ofAnda's Love by Joshua Sobol, directed by the Globe's Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, featuring Globe favorites Tovah Feldshuh (Golda's Balcony) and Natacha Roi (The Winter's Tale), with Talley Beth Gale (M.F.A. student in The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program) reading stage directions.

Park City Institute presents John McEuen and Friends, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," on April 8, at 7:30 PM, at the Eccles Center. The Grammy and CMA Award winner will perform with fellow Nitty Gritty Dirt Band members Les Thompson, and John Cable, along with Matt Catsonis. The multi-media show, will feature live music and rare video footage of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, which McEuen founded fifty years ago.

The McCallum Theatre welcomes the return of Rita Rudner on Friday, April 7, at 8:00pm. Known for her thought provoking one-liners and her observations on everyday life, Rita keeps it real talking about the things that amuse her.  A house-filling favorite in Las Vegas since she opened as one of the hottest tickets in town in June 2000, Rita Rudner is known for her epigrammatic one-liners. Danny Barnes is already known as an iconic American musician, a banjo playing innovator who's earned high praise from everybody from Bill Frisell and Dave Matthews to Steve Martin, who presented Danny with the Prize for Excellence in Banjo in 2015. From the days with his groundbreaking Austin band, the Bad Livers, to his two decade solo career experimenting with electronic music, jazz, old time string band music and more, he's a genre bending, rule breaking original who prefers to color outside the lines.

Fans of comedian and actor Steve Martin will recognize his smart and ridiculous style in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, the first play he wrote for the stage. The story goes that Martin heard a joke that began "Picasso and Einstein walk into a bar…" and turned that concept into a joyous 90 minute romp.

When German playwright Carl Sternheim set out to write his 1910 work, DIE HOSE, he intended to reflect a focus he knew all too well, the struggle to express and assert oneself within German bourgeois society. The result was the work being initially prevented from opening then later DIE HOSE, and his other works, were completely banned when the Nazis rose to power. All this because of Sternheim's indelicate views on German society. 

CMT today announced that Austin Swift, Arden Myrin and Natalie Dreyfuss will appear in season two of the hit comedy, STILL THE KING starring Billy Ray Cyrus, Joey Lauren Adams and Madison Iseman premiering this summer.
