Celebrating its 13th year, Hell in a Handbag Productions is pleased to announce its 2015-16 season, kicking off this summer with the Midwest premiere of MIRACLE!, the wickedly funny parody of The Miracle Worker as reimagined by Dan Savage, one of the country's leading writers/speakers/podcasters on sex, sexuality and GLBTQ issues, directed by Derek Van Barham.

The New Colony is pleased to announce its exciting winter line-up of Side Stage programming, a collection of free readings presented on select nights in January and February at its new home, The Den Theatre Upstairs Mainstage, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Side Stage kicks off with a five-year reunion reading of The New Colony's second season smash hit 11:11, followed by readings of three new works: STANLEY IN THE NAME OF LOVE, KIN FOLK and THUMBZ UP. Side Stage programming takes place during off-nights of The New Colony's world premiere musical PLASTIC REVOLUTION, playing January 16 - February 22, 2015. The New Colony is pleased to announce its full 2014-15 main stage season at its new permanent home -- The Den Theatre's, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Joining the previously announced world premiere musical PLASTIC REVOLUTION, The New Colony will present two additional world premieres: the musical comedy STANLEY IN THE NAME OF LOVE written and directed by Mr. Margaret Svetlove and the dark comedy THE TERRIBLE by Morgan McNaught, directed by Jesse Roth.

THE LIFE AND DEATH OF MADAM BARKER and More Set for Red Tape Theatre's 10th Season

Red Tape Theatre (RTT) announces their 2013/14 Season, which marks their 10th Anniversary Season and first season under the direction of new Artistic Director, Brandon Ray. The season opens October 14th, 2013 with the world premiere of The Life and Death of Madam Barker by Brooke Allen, with music and lyrics by John Fournier and directed by Eric Hoff. Then, in January of 2014 RTT will present the US premiere of hamlet is dead. no gravity by Ewald Palmetshofer, translated by Neil Blackadder and directed by Seth Bockley. Concluding the season in May of 2014, RTT will present another US Premiere, Earthquakes in London, by Mike Bartlett and directed by Brandon Ray. Red Tape Theatre's 10th Season will be presented at its home in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, located at 621 W Belmont Ave.

Hell in a Handbag Productions will remount of one of its most popular shows ever at The Coach House at Berger Park, 6205 N. Sheridan Rd. (Sheridan and Granville). Originally produced under Sweetback Productions, The Birds is not just a ridiculous parody of the classic Hitchcock film, but a look inside the mind of newcomer Tippi Hedren guided by author and American social critic Camille Paglia with a touch of David Lynch thrown in for good measure.
