Jennifer Ehle, Kristine Nielsen, Peter Bartlett, Reed Birney and More Sign on for TACT's SALUTE TO THE BRAVE

TACT, The Actors Company Theatre has announced that Jennifer Ehle (Oslo -Tony nomination, The Coast of Utopia - Tony Award, Design for Living, The Real Thing - Tony, Theatre World awards), Kristine Nielsen (Present Laughter; You Can't Take It With You; Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike -Tony Outer Critics Circle Award), Peter Bartlett (She Loves Me; Something's Rotten!; Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella), Reed Birney (1984; The Humans - Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award nomination; Gemini; Picnic; Casa Valentina - Drama Desk, Tony nomination), Cynthia Harris ( Mad About You; The Tribute Artist; Bad Habits; Company; Any Wednesday), Lorenzo Pisoni (Equus, Humor Abuse, Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Last Dance), and Simon Jones (The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy; Party Monster; The Thomas Crown Affair; 12 Monkeys, Waiting in the Wings; Private Lives; The Real Inspector Hound/Hamlet; Benefactors; The Real Thing) will star along with Hanna Cheek, Nora Chester, Todd Gearhart, James Prendergast, Tony Roach, Rocco Sisto, and Lynn Wright, in a concert-style reading of Noel Coward's Salute to the Brave, the World Premiere of the play lost since 1941. Mr. Evans will direct.

Photo Flash: THE RECKLESS SEASON at Theaterlab Continues Through 5/7

Boomerang Theatre Company  is pleased to share a first look at the world premiere of THE RECKLESS SEASON, written by Lauren Ferebee (co-artistic director Rebellious Subjects Theatre) and directed by Dominic D'Andrea (producing artistic director The One Minute Play Festival). THE RECKLESS SEASON began performances Friday, April 21st and continues through Sunday, May 7th, 2017 at TheaterLab NYC (357 West 36th Street, New York, NY 10018).

BWW Reviews: CCMT's LES MISERABLES is Master of the House

Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, the often-called 'epic' musical 'Les Miserables' sets a high standard, especially for theatre companies with smaller budgets. While that budget does affect Contra Costa Musical Theatre's production in minor ways, the company follows through on its promise to once again deliver visually stunning, challenging and new material (or newly available for rights, at least).

OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES to Close at the Royal George, March 2

Producers announced today that the hit off-Broadway comedy, OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES, which has entertained Chicago audiences for more than five months, will close at the Royal George Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted Street, on Sunday evening, March 2, at 5pm.

OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES Extends Through February 16 at the Royal George

The laughs will keep emanating from the Royal George Theatre for an additional 12 weeks as OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES announces a new block of tickets on sale for performances through Sunday, February 16, 2014. The hit off-Broadway comedy, now playing on the Main Stage of the Royal George Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted Street, features a quintet of Chicago favorites: Dara Cameron, Alex Goodrich, Tim Kazurinsky, Renee Matthews and Gene Weygandt.

OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES Closes Off-Broadway Today; Heads to Chicago

Off-Broadway's Old Jews Telling Jokes will close today, Sunday September 15. It will have played 22 previews and 552 regular performances. As previously announced, a Chicago production will begin performances at the Royal George Theatre on September 24 and open on October 2.

Fans of George Street Playhouse's holiday hit INSPECTING CAROL had best be getting their laughing muscles ready for another laugh-out-loud comedy from the same theatre and director. George Street Playhouse and its Artistic Director David Saint will bring THE NUTCRACKER AND I to New Brunswick beginning November 29, perpetrating yet another holiday spoof upon the patrons of the Playhouse.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre Postpones THE WOOD Opening Until 9/15

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announced today that due to Hurricane Irene, performances of The Wood, a new play by award-winning filmmaker Dan Klores about the life of New York columnist Mike McAlary, have been delayed. The Wood will now begin performances on Thursday, September 1 at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets). Opening night, previously set for Friday, September 9, will now be Thursday, September 15 at 8pm. David Bar Katz directs.

Vladimir Versailles Joins Rattlestick's THE WOOD

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announced today that Vladimir Versailles has joined the cast of The Wood, a new play by award-winning filmmaker Dan Klores about the life of New York columnist Mike McAlary. Mr. Versailles assumes the role of Abner Louima, replacing Gregory Bastien who has left the production.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Presents THE HISTORY OF INVULNERABILITY, Opens 4/8

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will continue its Shelterhouse Theatre season with the world premiere of THE HISTORY OF INVULNERABILITY by David Bar Katz. This remarkable new play about fantasy and reality in the 20th century began previews in The Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre April 3 and continues through May 2. Opening night is set for April 8.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Presents THE HISTORY OF INVULNERABILITY 4/3-5/2

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will continue its Shelterhouse Theatre season with the world premiere of THE HISTORY OF INVULNERABILITY by David Bar Katz. This remarkable new play about fantasy and reality in the 20th century begins previews in the Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre April 3 and continues through May 2.
