Feinstein's at Loew's Regency, hosted "OUR SINATRA: A MUSICAL CELEBRATION" last night, January 17. The show's original stars and creators - Eric Comstock,Christopher Gines and Hilary Kole - shared their joy passion for Sinatra's classics. The show includes over 50 songs interspersed with witty banter and humor. The show covers Sinatra's entire musical cannon from the classic ballads of the 40's to the saloon and torch songs, the 50's and 60's swingers and the all time hits.

CHRIS DURANG & DAWNE Comes To Town Hall 1/30, Receive Nightlife Award

Chris Durang launched a comic nightclub act in 1989 called CHRIS DURANG & DAWNE (John Augustine and Sherry Anderson) that came back to play clubs all over the New York area for the next eight years until they made their last public performance in January of 1996.

As in weeks past, this cast performed Broadway show tunes in the new series that changes every Thursday night with a new cast singing entirely different songs every week.

It's Official: Jeremy Jordan to Star in NEWSIES on Broadway

Though you probably read the news exclusively here on BroadwayWorld.com back on January 4, it's now official - Jeremy Jordan, who created the role of rebellious newsboy leader Jack Kelly in Newsies last fall, will play the role when the show moves to Broadway's Nederlander Theatre March 15th for a strictly limited 101 performance engagement.

In an eclectic celebration of her musical heritage, Arnaz playfully wended her way through pop south of the border sounds, enduring American standards, enhanced with a Brazilian accent or basted by a Bossa Nova beat and she took on some of the fiery Latin classics of her father, Desi Arnaz. Feinstein's at Loews Regency is currently hosting Scott Siegel's BROADWAY HOOTENANNY, which features different stars performing different songs every Thursday night at 11pm. Created, produced and hosted by Scott Siegel, the show features musical direction by Jesse Kissel. Now approaching its third week, casts have included Larry Gatlin, William Michals, Jon Fletcher, Claybourne Elder, Jamie deRoy, Courtney Simmons and Paul Pontrelli. It was just announced today that the next installment will feature Alice Ripley (Next To Normal), Joan Almedilla (Miss Saigon), Drama Desk Nominee Christina Bianco (Forbidden Broadway, Newsical: The Musical), and more.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency is closing their Fall 2011 season with the return engagement of the club's founder Michael Feinstein and Tony Award winning Broadway legend Barbara Cook from through December 30. To celebrate Barbara Cook's 2011 Kennedy Center Honor, the club is rolling back prices to when the club opened in 1999 for the month of December: $60 cover and no minimum. Their show will feature gems from the great American songbook by Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington and Rodgers & Hart, in addition to Broadway hits and holiday classics. Photo Coverage: ASCAP Foundation Honors Stephen Schwartz with Richard Rodgers Award

The ASCAP Foundation honored composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz for his lifetime contributions to the Musical Theater with The ASCAP Foundation Richard Rodgers Award. On hand to make the presentation was Richard Rodgers' grandson and fellow musical theater composer Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza). The accolade was presented today during the Foundation's 16th Annual Awards Ceremony, held at the Allen Room, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, in New York City. The invitation-only event, hosted by ASCAP Foundation President Paul Williams, also honored a wide variety of Scholarship and Award recipients, all of whom benefit from programs of The ASCAP Foundation.

On Monday, December 5, Tony and Golden Globe Award-winning actress and singer Linda Lavin celebrated the release of her new CD, 'Possibilities' (Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records) by gathering a few good friends to join her in concert on the Birdland stage. Lavin's special guests included Nancy Dussault, Brenda Pressley, Michael Esper & Kate Jennings-Grant, as well as Billy Stritch (piano), Steve Doyle (bass) and Steve Bakunas (drums).
