ANITA BRYANT'S PLAYBOY INTERVIEW Returns to the Cavern Club

Back in Silverlake by popular demand, and after a Hollywood Fringe Festival run, Anita Bryant's Playboy Interview returns to the Cavern Club Celebrity Theater at Casita del Campo restaurant for only six performances, opening on September 16. This funny, touching, and thought-provoking play chronicles Anita Bryant's campaign to repeal gay rights in Dade County, Florida in 1977.

Barney Norris' debut full-length play Visitors has transferred from the Everyman Theatre in Chichester to the Arcola earlier this year and is now starting its run at Bush Theatre, where all of the original cast members have reprised their roles. Set in a remote farm in north Wiltshire, Edie (Linda Bassett) and Arthur (Robin Soans) a married couple in their seventies are living happily alone with Arthur working out on the farm and Edie keeping things running in the home. Having lived there their whole married lives, the play opens with them worrying over the arrival of a visitor - one who they're concerned will change their daily lives.

Justin Willman, ROAD TO PALOOZA Variety Show and More Set for Pasadena Playhouse's CIRQUE-A-PALOOZA, Beg. Today

The Pasadena Playhouse announced the full schedule for its new summer festival, CIRQUE-A-PALOOZA - Summer Spectacle & Comic Calamity, created and directed by Stefan Haves. Mainstage feature acts will include two performances of magician/entertainer Justin Willman's Tricked Out, Frank Ferrante's one-man show An Evening With Groucho and a special night with some of the greatest magicians of The Magic Castle. Road to Palooza: A Variety Show Spectacular will also be a Mainstage event for five performances featuring a number of the amazing acts playing the festival and rotating special guest performers. The Carrie Hamilton Theatre will host an eclectic variety of specialty acts over the three-week period. The CIRQUE-A-PALOOZA festival will launch today, July 19 and perform through August 11, 2013.

Seven theatre ensembles on-the-edge come together at South Coast Repertory for an evening of comedy, dance, clowning and more. The sampling-performed in 10-minute sets called SCRamble-is part of Studio SCR and takes place tonight, Feb. 16, at 10 p.m., in the Nicholas Studio.
