The San Francisco production of the smash hit musical WICKED will play its final performance on Sunday, September 5, 2010, ending its record-breaking run at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets are now on sale for all performances through September 5th. Upon closing, WICKED will have played 660 performances and 12 previews.

Jackie Burns and Chandra Lee Schwartz deserve top billing in the latest touring company of the beloved Broadway smash hit musical. See it for the first time or the umpteenth time and you'll be enchanted by this production.

Grosse Pointe Theatre opens its 63rd Season with the 1971 rock musical, Godspell on Sunday, September 19 with a 2:00 p.m. matinee at the Fries Auditorium of the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236. Westport Country Playhouse's 80th anniversary gala on Monday evening, September 13, honoring Stephen Schwartz has been re-imagined with the influence of Lead Corporate Sponsor, Virgin Atlantic Airways, based in Norwalk.

After breaking box office records and selling out in record time last year, WICKED, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, will return to Indianapolis' Murat Theatre at Old National Centre December 15-January 1. Tickets for the return engagement go on sale Friday, October 15.

An audition notice has went out for the upcoming Broadway production of GODSPELL, noting that performances will begin in the Spring/Summer of 2011. Specific dates and a theatre are as of yet unnamed.
