Ruth Wilson stars in the London premiere of The El. Train: three one-act plays by Eugene O'Neill (The Web, Before Breakfast and The Dreamy Kid). The plays, written between 1913 and 1918, are being presented together for the first time. Ruth acts in The Web and Before Breakfast, directed by Sam Yates, and makes her directorial debut with The Dreamy Kid. Combining live music with immersive design, all housed in the intimate setting of Grade II listed Hoxton Hall (built 1863, seating an audience of 125), The El. Train will run for a limited four-week season through 30 December. Check out photos from opening night below!

Starz Lands BBC's Miniseries DANCING ON THE EDGE

Starz announced the U.S. television premiere of the musical drama 'Dancing on the Edge,' an original miniseries from the multi-award winning writer/director Stephen Poliakoff (Glorious 39, 'Gideon's Daughter,' 'The Lost Prince'), is set to premiere on Starz in October 2013. The riveting five-episode miniseries features original lyrics and music from the Emmy(R) Award-winning musician and composer Adrian Johnston ('Gideon's Daughter,' 'Shackleton,' Kinky Boots, Brideshead Revisited), performed by actresses Angel Coulby and Wunmi Mosaku, who sing on screen for the first time.

Almeida Theatre Cast members past and present were out in force to celebrate Michael Attenborough's 11 years as Artistic Director of the Almeida Theatre. On Saturday 13 April, the Almeida Theatre hosted a party at Middle Temple Hall, the very place that saw the first performance of Twelfth Night, to give Michael an amazing send-off. Also HighTide is pleased to announce further 'In Conversation' events with writer and director Stephen Poliakoff CBE, and playwright and novelist Michael Frayn. Author and broadcaster Kate Mosse will conduct the conversation with Michael Frayn, whilst television presenter Rick Edwards will hostconversations with Stephen Poliakoff and (previously announced) Roger Michell.

BBC's DANCING ON THE EDGE 2-Night Premiere, Ratings Hold

The new BBC2 period drama series DANCING ON THE EDGE premiered this week, kicking off with a splashy two-hour premiere, with a second episode following it up to generally strong reviews (ratings are not in). The 1930s-set, music-heavy jazz age series stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Goodman, Matthew Goode and Janet Montgomery and was created by Stephen Poliakoff.

Casting Complete for Menier Chocolate Factory's CHARLEY’S AUNT

Full casting is now complete for the Menier Chocolate Factory production of Brandon Thomas' comedy classic Charley's Aunt, directed by Ian Talbot and starring Mathew Horne, Jane Asher, Norman Pace and Steven Pacey. Although previously confirmed in the cast, Sam Kelly has had to withdraw from the production and is replaced by Charles Kay.
Catherine Russell Receives Legend of Off Broadway Award
