Randy James' all male dance company, 10 Hairy Legs, appears at Crossroads Theatre, New Brunswick on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 3:00 pm for its final New Jersey performance of its 2013-2014 season. The performance features all ten of the company members. The company is now double our size since our founding in 2012.
The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra announces the subject matter of the upcoming works to receive their world premieres by the Orchestra as part of the groundbreaking artistic collaboration with the MusicNOW Festival and Artistic Director Bryce Dessner. On Today, March 21, the Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Louis Langrée, will premiere Nico Muhly's Pleasure Ground, a portrait work depicting the life of landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead. On Saturday, March 22, Mr. Langrée and the CSO will premiere mountain, a new work by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lang depicting the life of American composer Aaron Copland.
Chicago-Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces a forthcoming artistic exchange with Ireland through the co-production of Chapatti, a new work developed through Northlight's Interplay program. The co-production of Chapatti will premiere at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, today, March 7-April 13, 2014, and will open at the Galway Arts Festival in July 2014. Chapatti, by acclaimed Irish playwright Christian O' Reilly, will be directed by Artistic Director BJ Jones and will feature John Mahoney and Penny Slusher.

Continuing the company's aggressive repertory expansion that explores the range of today's male dancer, this program features two World Debuts - a quartet entitled "The Blind Men and the Elephant" by Julie Bour, and a quintet entitled "Trouble Will Find Me" by Doug Elkins. James' poignant duet, "Closing the Glass Door," which completes the program, and Bour's work will have live musical accompaniment.

The five-time Grammy Award-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus—Lisa Bielawa, Artistic Director, and Valérie Sainte-Agathe, Music Director and Principal Conductor—are in demand as one of the Bay Area's top vocal ensembles with upcoming guest performances this spring with the San Francisco Symphony, award-winning visual arts organization Creativity Explored, Stephen Petronio Dance Company presented by San Francisco Performances and in Opera Parallèle's productions of Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tiresias and Weill's Mahagonny. Throughout their long careers, these two individuals have carved out a voice for the arts, championing countless artists working across platforms.
