Feinstein's at Loews Regency will continue its Summer 2012 season with the return of MAC and Bistro award winner Raissa Katona Bennett in a special week-long engagement from tonight, August 21 to August 25. The show will celebrate the release of her new CD, Another Kind Of Light from LML Music, produced by Rob Abel.

ANNIE, the new production of the Tony Award-winning musical, went into rehearsal today in New York City with its full company. The production begins previews October 3, 2012 and opens November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). Meet the full cast below!

Beginning tonight, August 8th, David Ayers will be the new Buffalo Bill in Off-Broadway's sellout sensation SILENCE! The Musical at its new home, the brand new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square. David Ayers is replacing Stephen Bienskie, who is departing to recreate his original role in the upcoming L.A. production of SILENCE! The Elektra Theatre has been specially constructed to be the new home of SILENCE! and is located at 669 Eighth Avenue (at 42nd St.)

Rubicon's Summer Youth Theatre programs continue with the much anticipated Musical Theatre Camp production. Last Summer's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was honored with an Indy Award from the Santa Barbara Independent for Musical Direction by John Enrico Douglas. This Summer, Douglas joins the artistic team again for Once On This Island, a highly original and theatrical Caribbean fairy tale.

Barely looking, and certainly not sounding, much older than she was over thirty years ago, when her clarion vocals and chipper charm earned her a Tony nomination for playing an unexpectedly pregnant college student in Baby, you might be surprised to know that the weekend before her Monday night concert at Town Hall, Liz Callaway was in Pittsburgh playing the final four performances of a stint as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard.

Winner of the 2012 Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical, SILENCE! The Musical the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, will open a Los Angeles company with performances beginning August 31, at the Hayworth Theatre. As first reported exclusively by BroadwayWorld, ANASTASIA - A New Musical is being brought to the stage in a 29-hour reading, which entered rehearsals last week, based on the hit 1997 animated motion picture from Fox Animation Studios. The musical, which is in its early stages of development, will feature the five songs from the film along with fifteen new songs written for the stage. Joining the creative team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty will be bookwriter Terrence McNally and music director Ben Cohn. Joining the previously announced cast is Kelli Barrett in the title role of Anya (Anastasia). Patrick Page once again dons the role of the villain, Vladimir. Angela Lansbury will reprise her role from the film as the Empress Maria, and Aaron Tveit will play Dimitri.

The first tenant at the Elektra Theatre is the transfer of the award-winning smash Off-Broadway hit, SILENCE! The Musical. The festivities will begin with a 6 PM cocktail hour, attended by Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Kara Lindsay and the cast of Broadway's NEWSIES. There will be an 8:30 after party immediately following the 7 PM performance of SILENCE! The Musical.

The Town Hall, New York's landmark theatre and concert venue continued the 6th Annual Summer Broadway Festival, with Broadway's Rising Stars last night, July 23rd at 8pm. The next generation of Broadway performers were chosen during auditions throughout the spring and come from theatrical institutions across the country, including AMDA, CAP21, Steinhardt, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Carnegie Mellon, Marymount and The New School. These young future performers then made their auspicious debut on The Town Hall stage in what has now become regarded as the country's national showcase. Bay Street Theatre showed the Hamptons a fantastic party last Saturday, July 21, 2012 at its annual Rock The Dock Summer Benefit Bash. The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour and silent auction, while guests arrived dressed to party on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor.
