San Gabriel Valley's (CSArts-SGV) enthusiastic and talented young artists will spread the joy of the arts to underserved communities throughout the San Gabriel Valley through a new Gluck Community Service Arts Fellowship Program, launching in January 2019. The Max H. Gluck Foundation has awarded the school $25,000 for the inaugural year, which will provide the means to present free performances and educational activities to those in need or with little access to the arts. The program was originally designed by founding school Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) in 2001, and has served more than 500,000 underserved community members in the past 17 years.
A night of Broadway awaits as California School of the Arts - San Gabriel Valley's (CSArts-SGV) bright and talented students collaborate with musical theater, television and film star Susan Egan for the school's inaugural fundraising celebration. "Unplugged with Susan Egan" is a cabaret-style show featuring the musical talents of Egan alongside 17 CSArts-SGV students as they perform songs from popular musicals and films including "Little Shop of Horrors," "Wicked" and more.
California School of the Arts - San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV) Musical Theatre, Acting and Integrated Arts students in grades seven through 11 collaborate with Broadway actor and singer David Burnham for the school's first-ever "Performing with the Pros" event. Burnham has been an artist-in-residence at the school for several weeks helping to direct, create and rehearse the show. Best known for originating the role of Fiyero in the popular musical "Wicked," Burnham was also an original cast member in "The Light in the Piazza," performing both on the Tony Awards and the PBS telecast "Live From Lincoln Center." He replaced Donny Osmond as Joseph in the national tour of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Acclaimed for his "dazzling singing" and "infectious energy" (The Hollywood Reporter), Burnham also performs solo and with symphonies across the nation.
Joy spread across a crowd of students, parents and community leaders Friday, Sept. 1, when California School of the Arts - San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV) celebrated its opening with an arts-filled Ribbon Cutting and Open House. The afternoon showcased the high-caliber arts instruction of conservatory directors and the blossoming talents of CSArts-SGV student artists with three solo performances and eight conservatory classes open for observation.

On Saturday March 1 Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation presented Broadway star Susan Egan, who originated the role of 'Belle' in Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, as part of its first season at the Arcadia Performing Arts Center. Joining Egan on stage were the sixty-member Arcadia Stage, the theatre student program at Arcadia High School. They sang four songs with Egan, and then two from their upcoming production of Curtains, which will open March 20.
TGC Productions, producer of CIRQUE MUSICA - a concert and visual experience for the entire family -- has announced a new creative collaboration with Debbie Gibson. Ms. Gibson will compose two new original songs for the new touring circus-style show, which performs with a full symphony orchestra. Traveling with the show to perform her new numbers is up and coming new talent Ali Isabella, a 2012 top 100 selection of The New Music Seminar's 'Artist On The Verge' chart.
