A Christmas Story, The Musical arrives on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre just in time for the 2012 holiday season. The production will be directed by Mark Waldrop.

The Muny presents THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE as a part of the 94th season in Forest Park. Set to star in the production are Broadway favorites Beth Leavel, Leslie Uggams, and Tari Kelly as Mrs. Meers, Muzzy, and Millie respectively. Now performing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County, California through January 1, the current touring stage production of IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS--a beguiling, surprisingly-winsome re-imagining of the classic 1954 Paramount Pictures musical motion picture of the same name--is saved from being just another run-of-the-mill musical adaptation thanks to its incredible Irving Berlin melodies and its enjoyable dance performances that harken back to a simpler time. More than anything, this satisfying production is able to hold its own mostly because it doesn't seem to have any pretense in its core.
Broadway is certainly full of them: those amazing performers dubbed as 'triple threats'--those singer/dancer/actor-types that are just brimming with an abundance of extraordinary talent. David Elder rightly belongs in this revered group, and has proven the label quite a lot over the years, working steadily on the stage with an envious consistency. For the holiday season, he's bringing his knack for entertaining audiences as one of the leads in the touring stage version of Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS, playing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa through January 1, 2012.
