On Friday, June 27th at 7:30 pm, the Episcopal Actors' Guild will host a screening of Stephanie Riggs' documentary The Standbys.

WaterTower Theatre today announced the cast for the new musical Dogfight, with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, book by Peter Duchan, running July 25 - August 17, 2014 at the Addison Theatre Centre. The ensemble cast stars Zak Reynolds at Eddie Birdlace; Juliette Talley as Rose Fenny; Kyle Igneczi as Boland; Matt Ransdell, Jr. as Bernstein; Beth Albright as Marcy/Ensemble; Branden Loera as Fector/Ensemble; Matthew Silar as Gibbs/Ensemble; Joseph Burnam as Stevens/Ensemble; Stephanie Riggs as Mama/Ensemble; Aubrey Ferguson as Ruth Two Bears/Ensemble and Steve Barcus as the Lounge Singer/Ensemble.

The NEW musical, Project Youth, book by Stephanie Riggs, music by Jeff Kinman and Adam C.Wright, lyrics by Stephanie Riggs and Adam C.Wright, will run at the MCL Grand Theatre, 100 North Charles Street, April 30, May 1, 2, and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and May 3 and 4 at 3:00 p.m.

'The Standbys' tells the fascinating story of three talented individuals who work as standbys. They are always ready to go onstage and assume a lead role in a moment's notice.

Every night on Broadway, dozens of the best performers aren't on stage. They are backstage, standing by, ready to go on at a moment's notice. The unique and challenging lives of Broadway's Understudies and Standbys are revealed in this evocative and original behind-the-scenes documentary. The Second Annual Tony Awards Film Series kicked off this weekend, featuring a collection of Broadway inspired films and exclusive interactive opportunities for audiences, including panel discussions with Tony Award winners, a Carol Channing look-a-like contest and sing-a-long. The Tony Awards Film Series is free to the public, with a suggested donation to The Paley Center for Media.

The Tony Awards previously announced the line-up for the 2nd Annual Tony Awards Film Series, which takes place today, May 12th and Sunday, May 13th at The Paley Center for Media. The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards, which are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
