Happy Birthday, Stephanie J. Block! On Broadway, Block has starred in The Boy From Oz, Wicked, The Pirate Queen, 9 To 5, Anything Goes, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. In addition, she originated the role of Elphaba in the first national tour of Wicked and in 2010 starred as Grizabella in the Municipal Opera Production production of Cats. Also that year, she starred as Sonia Walsk alongside Jason Alexander in the Reprise Theatre Company's production of They're Playing Our Song.

Midtown Direct Rep (MDR), the company that brought New Jersey the award-winning Rated P for Parenthood and Listen to Your Mother: North Jersey, returns to the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) with Theatre in the Loft, a series of staged readings of new plays and musicals. The upcoming performances will build upon their recent run of shows in the intimate, storied New York City lounge, favorites not only of music fans and critics, but also of fellow artists. Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch shows are a place where some of the city's foremost entertainers go to commune with their own-and sometimes sit-in for a song or two-on their nights off.
