London Writers' Week Announces New Donations From Leading Writers To Help The Grenfell Tower Fire Fund

Leading writers including writer and founder of Fun Palaces Stella Duffy, writer and director of hit BBC Three show Ackee and Saltfish Cecile Emeke, playwright, writer and co-producer of The Handmaid's Tale Dorothy Fortenberry plus novelist and founder of the Women's Prize for Fiction Kate Mosse and BAFTA winning screenwriter Dan Berlinka who writes CBBC's first online award winning drama Dixi are donating to London Writers' Week to help victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.

Three artists have been shortlisted for the BP Portrait Award 2017 at the National Portrait Gallery, London, which will be presented on 20 June 2017, it was announced today, Wednesday 19 April 2017. The shortlisted portraits, all featuring female sitters, were selected from 2580 entries from 87 countries, submitted for judging by a panel which included broadcaster Kirsty Wark and artist Michael Landy.

The adaptation, to be given its London premiere at Trafalgar Studios from tonight 17 March, will mark the first time Strindberg's play has been performed in a London theatre in 50 years. Gilded Balloon Productions present the London West End transfer of MURDER, MARPLE AND ME by Philip Meeks, directed by Stella Duffy.
