Guitarist Jake Hertzog, musical director for Nickelodeon stars, Nat and Alex Wolff, is set for a Midwest Tour starting in Indianapolis, MN on May 29. The five-dater tour will finish in Urbana, IL on June 2. Hertzog is taking rhythm section Harvie S (bass) and Victor Jones (drums) on the upcoming tour in support of his new jazz CD "Patterns" (Buckyball 022).

Chick Corea will pay tribute to one of his musical heroes with 'Further Explorations of Bill Evans,' a two-week engagement at the Blue Note in New York from May 4 - 9 and May 11 - 16. He will perform obscure compositions by Bill Evans, as well as his own new songs written in the spirit of the Bill Evans trio.

R&B singer-songwriter Amel Larrieux, a native of New York's Greenwich Village, will return to her roots in May for two special performances at the Blue Note Jazz Club. Larrieux made a name for herself as a founding member of Groove Theory, a duo with Bryce Wilson that achieved success in the mid-90s.

The Bishop Arts Theater Center (BATC) Presents Marc Antoine, Brian Simpson & Tom Braxton on Saturday, May 8. The three performers continue the 2010 Jazz Series with two shows - 7 and 9:45 pm.

The festival will start with jazz flutist Dave Valentin and conga legend Candido from Jan. 19 - 20. Trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and his Latin jazz group will finish up the week from Jan. 21 - 24. Argentinian saxophonist Gato Barbieri will play from Jan. 25 - 27, and percussionist Poncho Sanchez will finish up the festival from Jan. 28 - 31.
