Berkshire Theatre Group is now accepting submissions for the 6th Annual Made in the Berkshires Festival, taking place on October 14th, 15th and 16th at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield and The Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge. The deadline for submissions is May 30th.

Jane's Cafe Opens Inside Berkshire Theatre Group's Fitzpatrick Lobby Today

Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO, Kate Maguire, are pleased to announce the addition of Jane's Cafe, located inside the Fitzpatrick Main Stage lobby with intimate seating for up to 36 in the back of the orchestra. Jane's Cafe, named after Jane Fitzpatrick, will be catered by The Red Lion Inn. The menu, created by The Red Lion Inn's Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage, Brian Alberg, includes handcrafted sandwiches, salads and sweets. Jane's Cafe is set to open tonight, July 2 at 5pm.
Washington Square Arch Receives 'Green' Lighting Update

The new state of the art fixtures were funded by a DCAS program known as Expenses for Conservation & Efficiency Leadership (ExCEL) and were designed and manufactured by ICON International in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Installed by NYC Parks electricians over three weeks this spring, the new lighting gives a warm ambient glow to the arch, while highlighting the sculptural ornamentation by Frederick MacMonnies, Philip Martiny and the Piccirilli Brothers, as well as the statues of Washington as Commander-in-Chief and President, by Hermon Atkins MacNeil and Alexander Stirling Calder.
