Robert Cuccioli Stars in Actors Temple's SONG OF SOLOMON Benefit Tonight

Carol Ostrow Productions, the force behind the new Broadway-bound musical, 'Song of Solomon,' is offering a special benefit performance at The Actors' Temple's Annual Charitable Gala tonight, November 17, 2014, 7:30 pm., at 339 W. 47th Street, New York City.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Presents SIMONE DINNERSTEIN FOR THE HOLIDAYS, 12/20

On Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 7pm, acclaimed pianist Simone Dinnerstein will perform a special holiday concert presented by The Metropolitan Museum of Art in The Grace Rainy Rogers Auditorium (1000 Fifth Avenue). The Met Museum Presents concert, Simone Dinnerstein for the Holidays, features Poulenc's Suite francaise, Debussy'sSuite bergamasque, George Crumb's A Little Suite for Christmas, and Schubert's Sonata in B-flat major, D. 960.

Carolyn Montgomery-Forant to Guest Star in 13th Street Rep's THE IRVING BERLIN RAGTIME REVUE

Award-winning cabaret, theater, and concert star Carolyn Montgomery-Forant will be a special guest at select performances of 'The Irving Berlin Ragtime Revue' at the 13th Street Repertory Theater (50 W. 13th Street, NYC). Montgomery-Forant-who has won the MAC Award, the Bistro Award, and the New York Nightlife Award--will take time out from her own concert schedule to make guest appearances in the revue at the following performances: Sunday, November 16th at 3 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday November 23rd at 3 p.m.

Scott Alan, Drew Gasparini & More Set for LeAp Benefit Concert at Davenport Theatre Tonight

Broadway LeAps Onstage, a concert to benefit LeAp (Learning through an Expanded Arts Program) OnStage, will be held tonight, November 13th at 8pm at the Davenport Theatre. The event, raising funds and awareness of theatre arts education in underprivileged schools in New York, will feature a wide range of composers and performers. Newsies stars Ben Fankhauser and Andrew Keenan-Bolger are among the lineup.

Graduate Ensemble Opens Season with Anton Chekhov's THE THREE SISTERS Tonight

The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA (CWRU/CPH MFA) Acting Program will present The Three Sisters in the Helen Rosenfeld Lewis Bialosky Lab Theatre ('The Helen') at PlayhouseSquare for 10 performances only, tonight, November 12-22, 2014. Written by Anton Chekhov and directed by CWRU/CPH MFA Program Director Ron Wilson, this landmark piece of theatre opens the second season for the MFA Class of 2016.

ADM:21 Presents Works from GEORGE M!, A CHORUS LINE, IN THE HEIGHTS and More, Now thru 11/16

American Dance Machine for the 21st Century (ADM21) will present 15 show-stopping musical theater dance numbers performed by stars from the musical theater and dance worlds during its Joyce Theater debut today, November 11-16, announced Nikki Feirt Atkins, Founder and Executive Artistic Director and Margo Sappington, Artistic Director. All performances will feature live music and will be directed by Margo Sappington with musical direction by Eugene Gwozdz.

BWW Reviews: Check Into Horovitz's 6 HOTELS at Hub Theatre Company of Boston

Hub Theatre Company of Boston draws the curtain on its second season with the Boston premiere of 6 HOTELS by Israel Horovitz. Half a dozen slices of life share comedic and poignant DNA, with four actors playing twenty-two characters trying to connect in hotel rooms, bars, and restaurants. Club Cafe serves as an ideal venue and co-directors John Geoffrion and Daniel Bourque use the space well. Some vignettes land better (lightly) than others (with a thud), but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Palo Alto Players Present HARVEY, Now thru 11/23

Palo Alto Players follows up on its successful season premiere with the hare-raising comedy classic Harvey. Written by Mary Chase, this beloved play won the Pulitzer Prize in 1945 and has been charming audiences ever since! Harvey will play for 11 performances (tonight, November 7-23, 2014) at the Lucie Stern Theater located at 1305 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto.

Erin Markey to Star in New Musical WAR LESBIAN at Dixon Place, 12/5-20

Dixon Place's new musical commission, WAR LESBIAN, will have its world premiere beginning December 5th. Featuring Erin Markey, this original musical, with book by Kristine Haruna Lee, music by Kathryn Hathaway and a cast of ten is directed by Jordan Fein in collaboration with harunalee.

'WHAT TAMMY NEEDS TO KNOW' Plays LaMaMa, Now thru 11/23

Lois Weaver is co-founder (with Peggy Shaw and Deb Margolin) of Split Britches, the world's premiere lesbian theater troupe, and is well-known for her dramatis persona, Tammy WhyNot, an aging trailer trash blonde who threw away Nashville stardom for a career as a contemporary performance artist. Tammy returns to La MaMa tonight, November 6 to 23 with 'What Tammy Needs to Know about Getting Old and Having Sex,' a new performance created with elderly women in Zagreb, Croatia and NYC that illuminates the taboo subject of desire, pleasure and intimacy in old people. This show is the project for which she was awarded a 2014 Guggenheim Fellowship.

13th Street Rep to Welcome Special Guests for Talkbacks

ASCAP Award-winning writer/director Chip Deffaa will be joined by special guests, including noted showbiz biographer Herb Goldman, writer/entertainer Brian Gari, and actor Michael Townsend Wright, for special audience 'talkback' sessions, following select performances of Deffaa's shows 'One Night with Fanny Brice' and 'The Irving Berlin Ragtime Revue,' which are playing in repertory this fall at the 13th Street Theater (50 W. 13th Street, NYC).

Blind Boys of Alabama to Play Symphony Space, 12/3

Symphony Space will welcome the season with the iconic gospel group Blind Boys of Alabama on Wednesday, December 3 (8 pm) in the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. Their holiday program, 'Go Tell It On the Mountain,' features an inspired selection of traditional spirituals, Christmas standards, and original tunes, all rendered in the soul-stirring vocal harmonies and funky instrumental backings that have brought them five Grammy Awards and international renown.
