It's official. Former Broadway and West End Phantom Peter Jöback is going to star in a Swedish revival of the original replica production of The Phantom Of The Opera in Stockholm 2016.

Major cast changes will take place in the smash hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA" at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End from Monday 2 September 2013. Fresh from his success as Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables" at the Queen's Theatre Geronimo Rauch will join the cast as 'The Phantom'. At the same time Broadway leading man Sean Palmer will join as 'Raoul'. They will be joined by Andy Hockley as 'Monsieur Firmin', Martin Ball as 'Monsieur Andre', Claire Moore as 'Carlotta', Jacinta Mulcahy as 'Madame Giry', Cat Lane as 'Meg Giry' and Olivia Brereton and Harriet Jones who will both play 'Christine' at certain performances.

Following an intense six week voting period, it has been announced that Ashley Day has won West End Frame's Understudy of the Year Award 2013 for understudying the role of Elder Price in The Book of Mormon.

The annual festival West End LIVE - organised by Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre, in association with MasterCard - returned to Trafalgar Square yesterday, 22nd June and continues today, 23rd June 2013, for a weekend of free entertainment from some of London's top theatre productions and performers. New to the show are Marcus Lovett as 'The Phantom', Simon Thomas as 'Raoul', LAra Martins as 'Carlotta' and Anna O'Byrne as 'Christine' at certain performances. PHANTOM will continue to star Sofia Escobar as 'Christine', Cheryl McAvoy as 'Madame Giry', Jeremy Secomb as 'Piangi', Barry James as 'Monsieur Firmin', Gareth Snook as 'Monsieur André' and Anna Forbes as 'Meg Giry'.

On Saturday 23rd October, the cast of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA celebrated the show's 10,000th performance in the West End. The audience at today's matinee performance were treated to a special appearance from Andrew Lloyd Webber during the curtain call. Andrew said a few words thanking the audience for their support over the last 10,000 performances before introducing the original Phantom, Michael Crawford. Michael's appearance was accompanied by the familiar strains of The Music of the Night. Andrew and Michael were then presented with a cake to celebrate the landmark performance. Crawford will next be see starring as 'The Wizard' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's upcoming THE WIZARD OF OZ.

The winners are being announced as they happen for this year's Laurence Olivier Awards, London's equivalent of the Tonys. The awards, which were created in 1976 were given out on Sunday March 8, 2009 in a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
