The Young People's Chorus of New York City, founded in 1988 by Artistic Director and MacArthur 'genius' Fellow Francisco J. Nuñez on a mission of diversity and artistic excellence, celebrates its next 25 years with a gala benefit concert at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, followed by a festive dinner at the Mandarin Oriental. It all begins at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014, with all proceeds benefitting the almost 1,400 children, ages 7 to 18, in YPC's award-winning after-school and in-school programs.

Brooke Shields has been announced as the director of the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of CHICAGO, which holds the record as the third longest running show in Broadway history. Rob Fisher has also been announced as the conductor of the production. Shields starred in CHICAGO both on Broadway and in London's West End and this marks her directing debut. Fisher's association with the show began with the 1996 Broadway revival and he continues to be supervising music director of CHICAGO productions around the globe.

The performance featured guest artists Aaron Lazar, Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot, along with Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA and New York Theatre Ballet. The program included classics from Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.
