Last night the show at the Friars Club was all about the food and two legendary kitchens united to create a culinary event that got a four star rating and standing ovation from the audience. The lore, lure and legacy of Le Cirque was celebrated at the club and a classic four course dinner prepared under the direction of Le Cirque chef and CEO/owner Mauro Maccioni.
Last night Le Cirque welcomed it's creator Sirio Maccioni back to the legendary restaurant. Sirio's many friends turned out for the occasion and enjoyed a Tuscon dinner from the recipes of his wife Egidiana Maccioni.
It's not about food portions at Le Cirque, it's about the proportion of love that Sirio Maccioni and family have for their patrons and for the City of New York. Last night Andrea Bocelli presented Sirio with The Andrea Bocelli Humanitarian Award as part of the celebration honoring Le Cirque's 40th Anniversary.
