Global star and legendary entertainer Barry Humphries is to transfer his FAREWELL TOUR to the London Palladium for a West End run from tonight 13th November (Press Night: Friday 15th November). EAT PRAY LAUGH! will give audiences the chance to bid farewell to Humphries, arguably Australia's greatest entertainment export, whose creations have brought him international acclaim and adoration: cultural attache the Honorable Sir Les Patterson, Sandy Stone and, of course, the incomparable Dame Edna Everage.

Melbourne Theatre Company today announced its Chairman, Derek Young AM, will retire from the Board after nineteen years of outstanding service to the Company. Current board member Terry Moran AC was elected unanimously to the role as Chairman from January 2014.

The first national tour of Tony Award winning Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is coming to Community Center Theater in Sacramento, from November 5 - 10, 2013. Adapted from the 1994 Academy Award winning film The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert,Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is the most successful Australian musical of all time, and its successful Broadway run was widely acclaimed by critics and audiences alike.

Written and performed by singer songwriter Shelley Fisher, it is a one woman musical which chronicles Ms Fisher's Hollywood odyssey that begins in the heart of the Mississippi Delta in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll, Blues and Bar-b-cue. Growing up Jewish in the deep South with a flamboyant mother who frowned on her dating the local redneck boys, The Hebrew Hillbilly begins singing as a little girl and never stops. From her early years as a blonde bombshell, through her current incarnation as The Memphis Belle of L.A., Ms Fisher has been on a show business rollercoaster that slows down just long enough for her audience to climb on board this deeply personal, yet universally appealing and hilarious ride. The production is directed by Rory Mitchell with 14 original songs written by Shelley Fisher, Kenneth Hirsch (musical director), and Harold Payne. The Hebrew Hillbilly will be shown at the Santa Monica Playhouse, (1211 4th St, Santa Monica) October 12 - November 3.

Press On Features, Runaway Features and Gloucester Place Films have wrapped on feature 'The Disappearance of Lenka Wood', a kidnap thriller set in New York and Turkey. Paul Tanter penned and directed the film, with Simon Phillips producing. The film sees a woman kidnapped on her honeymoon, and her ex-soldier husband's efforts to free her.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) debuts its 2013-2014 season with Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical at Hobby Center from tonight, September 29 - October 12. Beneath the rollicking good time (not to mention the sequined glitz and flashy feathers) of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the Musical, is a story about the difficulties of living an authentic life when you don't fit into the social norm. In this case that norm is the hetero world of 1990s Australia where two gay men and one trans woman, drag queens all, team up to take a trip through the outback in order to perform at a casino owned by, of all people, the wife of one of the queens. Enter 'Priscilla' a dilapidated bus that's a traveling dressing room and bar for the trio of performers. Road trip! Playing now through August 31 at the Orpheum Theatre, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is boy-sterous, outrageous, campy fun, but it also heartwarming and touching.
