As announced last week, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, the company of Broadway's first-ever revival of Stephen Schwartz's legendary rock musical GODSPELL welcomes a new leading man -- stage and screen star Corbin Bleu (Disney's 'High School Musical,' Broadway's In the Heights) -- to the starring role of Jesus. The Scooty & JoJo Show returns to Metro on June 1, 2012, with the benefit concert Space Invasion. Expanding last year's Alien-meets-Queen-meets-Battlestar Fantastica spectacles with Chicago's newest choir and an inter-species dance party, Space Invasion is a celebration of sci-fi cinema and space rock. Proceeds from the event go toward The Scooty & JoJo GoGo Legit Campaign, securing legal council and licensing rights for Scooty & JoJo creations.

Theater For The New City have announced an encore engagement of The Hive's critically-acclaimed gender-bender production of William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S (QUEER) DREAM, directed by Matthew A.J. Gregory. A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S (QUEER) DREAM will play a limited engagement at the Johnson Theatre-Theatre for the New City (155 First Avenue, btw. 9th/10th) from Wednesday, April 25 through Saturday, May 19. Opening Night is Friday, April 27 (8 p.m.).
