Lin-Manuel Miranda, Larry Kramer & More Will Be Featured at 16th Annual New Yorker Festival

On October 2, 3, and 4, 2015, The New Yorker will present its sixteenth annual Festival, a three-day celebration that brings to life the magazine's rich reporting and incisive cultural coverage, plus live performances, film previews, and one-of-a-kind excursions throughout New York City. Drawing together an acclaimed and exciting group of writers, artists, and thinkers from a range of fields-including film, music, television, politics, architecture, science, food, and literature-the Festival is New York City's foremost cultural event of the season.

Company of Fools to Present VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE This Summer

This July Company of Fools (COF) presents the hilarious winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, by the master of comedy, Christopher Durang. One of the most lauded Broadway plays of recent years, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike has been described by the New York Times as, 'deliriously funny' and 'comic acting raised to the level of high art.'

Al Hirschfeld immortalized celebrities, politicians, Broadway productions, films, television shows and beyond with his iconic linear drawings for nine decades, establishing himself as one of the most important contemporary portrait artists. Over a decade since the legendary artist drew his final line drawing, he continues to inspire.  This spring, Hirschfeld will be celebrated with the publication of a new book and a major exhibition at the New-York Historical Society.  Just last night the New-York Historical Society celebrated the launch of The Hirschfeld Century: The Art of Al Hirschfeld. the first major retrospective of Hirschfeld. Geva to Close 2014-2015 Season with VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE

Geva Theatre Center presents Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike - Christopher Durang's laugh-out-loud, Tony Award-winning comedy, directed by Bruce Jordan. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike begins performances May 5, opens May 9, and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through May 31.

BWW REVIEWS: Nashville Rep's Starry VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE

Now onstage at TPAC's Andrew Johnson Theatre as the season-ending production from Nashville Repertory Theatre, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike has a lot to say and, for the most part, it does so with vigor and bite. Durang's play somehow remains an artful blending of hilarity and gloom that succeeds on many levels, credit for which is due both writer and director, in this case Nashville's own imaginative visionary aka Nate Eppler.
