The Welders-Washington's only playwrights' collective devoted exclusively to developing and producing new work-has added two members to their Board of Directors.

The critically acclaimed New York, Off-Broadway hit musical Inside Out will celebrate its 20-year anniversary at the Grove Theatre Center in Burbank, CA February 12th - March 22nd, it was announced today by Kritzerland Entertainment and PlayWorks Music. Veteran TV/Film/Theatre/Actor/ Author/Performer/Playwright and CEO of Kritzerland Records Bruce Kimmel has been set to direct the musical by Doug Haverty (book and lyrics) and Adryan Russ (lyrics and music). An all-star female ensemble/cast of six features Sandy Bainum, Cynthia Ferrer, Stephanie Fredricks, Dana Meller, Leslie Stevens and Adrienne Visnic. Preview performances are February 12th and 13th with the show's official opening scheduled for February 14th.

Signature Theatre has announced that due to the recent storm and subsequent loss of rehearsal time, performances will now begin on the evening of February 4th for BIG LOVE by Charles Mee, directed by Tina Landau. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs through March 15, 2015 with a February 23 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

The new Broadway production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning film and stage musical, Gigi, began its pre-Broadway engagement in the Eisenhower Theater at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C

It's going to be a hot ticket! Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has just announced that film star Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables, Dear John, Mamma Mia!, upcoming Ted 2 and Pan) will make her off- Broadway debut opposite Thomas Sadoski (The Newsroom, Wild, upcoming in NBC's The Slap) in the upcoming world premiere production of NEIL LaBUTE's drama, THE WAY WE GET BY. Directed by Tony nominee LEIGH SILVERMAN, the production will begin previews on April 28, 2015 and officially open on May 20, 2015 at Second Stage Theatre, 305 West 43rd Street.

11th Hour Theatre Company is heading back to the 80s this Spring with its first commission. The company is finalizing the World Premiere of Michael Ogborn's Field Hockey Hot - its first World Premiere and commission. This gender-bending field hockey musical will run March 5-22. Opening night is Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m.

The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival 2015 season will feature a slate of top-notch directors, choreographers, musical directors and designers. The flagship theatre, the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, will house West Side Story, The Light in the Piazza (Regional Premiere), Saturday Night Fever (US Regional Premiere), Sweeney Todd, the all new The Calamari Sisters' Big Fat Italian Wedding, and the first ever holiday show at the Playhouse -- Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings. It is my great pleasure to announce that the ninth season of Roundabout Underground will begin with the world premiere of Ugly Lies the Bone by Lindsey Ferrentino, under the direction of Patricia McGregor. The production will begin previews on September 10, 2015 at the Black Box Theatre and marks the tenth premiere we've produced in that space. The play was first heard at Roundabout as part of the Underground Reading Series in February 2014.

Michael Menendian, co-founding Artistic Director of Raven Theatre, has announced that Raven has been granted rights to mount the only new production of Horton Foote's The Old Friends since its World Premiere staging in fall 2013 by the Signature Theatre Company in New York. Raven Theatre's production will run January 27 to March 26, 2016, under Menendian's direction.
