Roundabout Theatre Company and Columbia University School of the Arts have announced the winners of Columbia@Roundabout's 2017 New Play Reading Series.

Lighting designer Bradley King picked up his first Tony nomination for his daring design of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. Watch below as he explains how he made the show shine!

SPEAKproductions, in association with TBD Productions & Martian Entertainment, have announced today that their film adaptation of Michael John LaChiusa's musical HELLO AGAIN will launch with the June 2nd release of "Beyond the Moon."

It takes a village to recreate the giant world of War and Peace in a supper club-style Broadway theatre. Chief of that village is Rachel Chavkin, who earned her first Tony nomination for Best Direction for her ingenious work on Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. Performances begin TONIGHT for the New York premiere of Attack of the Elvis Impersonators, the zany new musical that will leave you howling for more, with book, music and lyrics by Lory Lazarus, at The Lion Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th & 10th Avenues). Opening Night is Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 8:00 p.m.

Theatre production company Parity Productions has released its monthly list of Qualifying Productions for June - their popular directory of New York City shows in which the individual creative teams include 50% women and transgender artists (directors, designers, and playwrights).

Paper Mill Playhouse, recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is pleased to announce a special Autism-Friendly performance of its hit musical Mary Poppins on Friday, June 23 at 1:30PM.

LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater will open its 2017-2018 season with AFTER THE BLAST, a new play by Zoe Kazan, to be directed by Lila Neugebauer, beginning performances Saturday, October 7 and running for six weeks only through Sunday, November 19 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night is Monday, October 23.

Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its air-conditioned doors once again for the annual Sizzlin' Summer Nights Series. Two and a half weeks of live music and performances by Signature favorites and DC area stars. The cabaret series runs July 5 through July 22, with a different performance every night.

Theatre Now New York presented its 4th Annual festival of new musicals, Sound Bites 4.0 (sponsored by Music Theatre International and Disney Theatrical Productions) to a sold-out house at the Perishing Square Signature Theatre. An after-party was held in the theatre lobby where awards were given. Sound Bites showcases ten 10-minute musicals or musical excerpts in one evening.

Alley Theatre Managing Director Dean R. Gladden announced today that Rachel Applegate has been appointed to join the Alley Theatre as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Rachel Applegate is currently the Chief Marketing and Community Engagement Officer for ZACH Theatre in Austin, and oversees earned revenue, brand strategy development, and community engagement initiatives. Applegate joins the Alley with more than 10 years of arts marketing and management experience. She begins at the Alley June 5.

The UC San Diego Department of Theatre and Dance presents Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph, directed by Carla Harting, June 7-10, at the Arthur Wagner Theatre in Galbraith Hall, part of the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Theatre District on the university's campus.
